jake sat next to the hospital bed, his hand gripping james' loosely, the only noise in the room being the steady beeping of the heart monitor.
it picked up slightly and jake sat up, looking at it as it sped up. the beeping continued going quicker and quicker, until it slowed back down all at once and it was back to a normal, steady pace.
jake shrugged tiredly to himself and rested his head down on the empty space at the side of the hospital bed, shutting his eyes.
he was almost drifting off when he felt the hand he was holding tighten lightly around his, and he shot up, sitting up onto the side of the bed, watching as james slowly opened her eyes, managing to sit up ever so slightly, looking around the blindingly white room.
'j-jakey?'
jake let out a breathy laugh of relief, leaning forward and wrapping his arms around the girl, who hugged him back as equally enthusiastically.

jakewebber9: hi everyone. as you are probably all aware, our very close friend eleanor james has recently been admitted to hospital, roughly a week and a half ago. she was very close to death at her time of admission, which gave everyone a massive shock, as it would anyone. me, colby, corey and sam would all like to let you know that james is safe, and she will be fine. my bubba is a fighter, the doctors believe she'll make a speedy recovery, and she'll hopefully be awake and at it again soon. the cause of her admission was self inflicted, as the rumours say. she did try to take her own life that night, and i want you to know this solely because words do have an impact on people. she was getting so much hate, too much to handle. think before you speak! thank you for all your get well wishes for james, she loves you all. james made a quick recovery, and she was back at her apartment in a few weeks. she soon decided she was stable enough to come back and make her return to social media, but not before asking her friends for a favour.
