chapter 41

(Lisa p.o.v)

As soon as I stepped out of the car, my dad and Jennie's dad welcomed me with a tight hug i didn't inform Jennie that i had already reached Seoul, i wanted to give her a little surprise

"I'm very proud of you," My dad said with a broad smile

"I look up to you dad" I answer and hug him slightly

"How about me guys? How about me?" Jennie's dad acted as if he was offended, I chuckled and hugged him too and there the smile appeared again

"Everyone is waiting for you," Jennie's dad told me, then we all headed towards the conference hall

There were more guests than i expected, i gave some words of gratitude to my employees and shareholders, then dad told me that we'll have lunch here but i refused it politely as i promised Jennie that I'd join her for lunch

"Okay! You may now focus on baby-making as well" Jennie's dad jokes, causing me to flush in an instant because i just remember what she told me before i went to busan alone

"Lisa i can't come with you let me take care of Mom this time, but I promise I'll make it up to you soon"

"Yahh! Dad stopped it" I asserted as i gave the signal to Jackson to start the car, i can't wait to see my wife

"Alright! Then we'll throw the party some other day" My dad diverts the topic, i nod and bow to them giving my respect then i turn my heels and walk leaving the conference room

It was the fastest drive as we reached home in no time, without a word i hopped out of the car and rushed inside, i punched the password and as the door opened Jennie was in front of me smiling charmingly

But all i could see were the sullen eyes as if she had been crying

Without a word, I engulfed her in a tight embrace and kissed the top of her head

"Jen is everything alright?" My mind instantly remembered mrs.kim and i added Worriedly

"Is mom okay?" Her smile didn't reach her eyes but at least she tried to squeeze out.....but why?

"Everything is alright it's just that I'm so happy for you i don't have words to express so i cried a little it's happy tears though" She then chuckles and hugs me again as she mumbles "Congratulations"

"Silly! You got me worried" I whispered and we hugged for a while until she broke it and led me to our bedroom

"Why didn't you tell me that you'll be this early?" She asked as she took her seat on our bed, i loosened up my tie and took off the blazer

"I was yearning to give you a surprise, i bought you a gift but i left it inside the car, my mind was so preoccupied with seeing you" I wink and smile before squatting in front of her as i clasp her hands

"Is that so? Did you enjoy the party there?" She Inquire i was taken back because i never mentioned about party and stuff, i recovered my poser and nodded

"I do! But i didn't remember much about it because i was missing you the whole time, how i wish you to be there with me" I truthfully replied and kissed the back of her hand, she smiled but i guess something was there! Sad? Yeah! I can see the sadness in her eyes but why?

"We'll go some other day now changed yourself and take a quick shower, I'll be waiting downstairs," she said and walked out of our room leaving me alone

After lisa took a quick shower she went downstairs to have their lunch together, jennie spoke occasionally but did not talk much which alarmed lisa
