Chapter: 3

5 years later........

As the sun rose within the Marine's training grounds, leaving nothing but silence. Everyone was just starting to wake for the hard training day that layed ahead. All but one as the silence was soon interrupted by a sudden yelling.

"Merry!!!! Get back here"

"Merry come on its breakfast"

As two young marines men called out while searching for a runaway girl who was no where to be found.

"Merry, Merry come on, its not funny anymore"

"Yea Merry, don't do this again"

"What's with the yelling" replied a annoyed Garp who just woken up by the sudden racket.

The two marines began to panick, they had just woken up Garp and a annoyed Garp was a bad Garp.

"Mark, Abel what are you yelling about"

"Sir, sorry to wake you up sir" replied a tall young man known as Mark, with black hair and green eyes. He wore a typical marine uniform.

"Sir, we just can't look for Merry sir" replied the other young man known as Abel. He wasn't as tall as his friend but he had brown hair with brown eyes, he too wore a typical marine uniform.

"So she's loose again, have you tried the kitchen"

"No sir, we haven't sir"

"So what are you waiting for, go get her" yelled Garp.

The two marines saluted and ran off towards the kitchen. As the entered the kitchen, they found a 7 year old Merry eating donuts.

"Hiy Mark, Hiya Abel"

"Merry! We been searching all over for you" replied Mark

"What are you doing here" replied Abel.

"What do you mean?" responded a confused Merry. "I been here all morning eating donuts"

Mark and Abel sweat dropped. They had search the whole training ground and Merry had been in the kitchen the whole time.

"Uhem.........."

Mark and Abel then joined Merry for breakfast. They had to get their own breakfast since Merry didn't want to share any of her donuts. Now feed, they made towards the training ground where newly marines were training. They were received by Garp.

"So you found her"

"Yes sir"

"She was in kitchen eating donuts sir"

"Eating donuts again" replied Garp. "She didn't break in the fridge to get cola again? You know how she gets when she drinks that stuff"

"No sir, the fridge was lock as always"

"Merry just had donuts with a glass of milk sir"

Garp then turned his attention towards Merry.

"Ready for todays training, Merry?"

"Okay Garp~san" responded Merry while she saluted.

"Hahhhh very well then, lets get started" replied Garp as he trailed towards the training grounds with Merry right behide her.

Mark and Abel trailed after them. There job was done for now until the training was over. They been assigned to keep an eye on Merry, Admiral Aokiji's goddaughter while he was away. They made sure she ate, took a bath, did her chores, keeped her out of trouble etc. They been taking care of her for 2 years now since Merry started training with Garp. Merry spented most of her time training with Garp which made their job a bit easier. Garp had been taking care of Merry while Admiral Aokiji was away way, way before they came along.
