Chapter: 2

Kuzan made it back to the ship as the men were packing up and taking the supplies back inside the ship. It was daybreak and they were headed back to headquarters. As Kuzan was about to aboard the ship, he was interrupted by a marine officer.

"Admiral Aokiji sir, were ready to disembark, we will be leaving in a few moments sir" replied the marine while he saluted to him yet his eyes wonder to the child his arms.

"Ok then, could you ask the cook to warm up some milk and to bring it to my room"

"Ur.... yess sir, right away sir" replied the man as he headed towards the kitchen.

Kuzan headed towards to his room just as the ship started to move. Inside in room he made room for the child and put her supplies beside his bed. He layed Merry on the bed as he waited. Just then heard a knocking.

"Admiral sir, the milk you request sir" replied the man as he enter the room.

"Very well, your dismissed" responded Kuzan as he took the milk from his hands. The Marine officer left the room leaving Merry and Kuzan alone once again.

For next few days, Kuzan took care of Merry and just like Mea said, Merry had a lot of energy for a 2 year old. It took him almost all night to get her to sleep, she didn't cry but all she did was laugh. Merry played none stop which had him doing a lot of work, for a lazy person like him.

Since then Kuzan learned to let Merry played none stop so by the night time she was all tired out, and would go to sleep. But other then that Merry was a easy child to take of, she always played on her own and usually stayed out of trouble. All that Kuzan did was keep her distracted enough, so he could do his job as marine admiral.

So within a few weeks, they arrived at a marine base. Kuzan gathered his stuff and Merry, then headed towards the base. And of the people he could have meet up with it had to him.

"hey Kuzan, where you been at?"

Kuzan came to a halt, as he saw a elderly man with white hair but had a perfect fit figure. To anyone that man was a very know man, he was the only one who almost caught Gold Roger. But now days he was a Marine Admiral, the hero of the marines. This man was known as Monkey D. Garp.

"Hey Garp"

"Whose the brat?" Replied Garp as he picked his nose as he had seen little Merry.

"This is Merry, my goddaughter"

"Goddaughter, never knew you were a family man, where her parents"

"They passed away few weeks ago and they left her in my care" replied Kuzan.

"Is that so, whats her name then"

"Merry, shes 2 years old"

"Two years old, what are you planning on doing with her" replied Garp.

"Taking care of her, what else could I do"

"Hahhhh never thought you of all people will end up with a kid"

"So it seems" responded Kuzan.

Kuzan along with Merry entered the building leaving a laughing Garp behide.

Merry's new life at the Marines had just begun.
