Raven

As soon as the first of my Slytherin friends came to me, I was back in my element.
We talked the whole journey about everything and nothing but the most discussed topic was the World Cup and of course the Dark Mark, everyone in Hogwarts knew that my family had a close relationship to the Dark Lord. My parents were death eaters, they still wore the marks with pride. Everyone expected me to have some kind of insider informations. The truth was that I didn't know anything at all, my parents never really told me about this stuff, they only ever tell Max.
But I was kind of happy about that, even though my family always has been sort of into the dark arts and even though my house was Slytherin, I've never been a supporter of anything like it.

We rode in carriages to the castle, rain drummed on the roof, the sight through the small windows was blurry and I could only see some lights in front of us.
I was greeted a lot on our way to the Great Hall, people asked me if I could help out in potions or if I could sit next to them. The year didn't even start but they already circled above me like vultures.
I felt all eyes on me, somewhere in the back sat the twins, I rolled my eyes and sat down at my typical corner of the table.
Max sat across from me und talked rather excited with Draco Malfoy. The Fallons and Malfoys always have been quite close, we were the only pure blooded families in Hogwarts that have been in Slytherin since the founding of the school.
When we were kids the Malfoys would always come over for holidays, we practically grew up together.
I saw Anthony on the other side of the table, alone and marginalised from the other third graders, but that didn't seem to bother him much.
Dumbledore was standing in front of us, he was talking about some kind of tournament. I thought I read something about it a few years ago, it didn't really catch my attention.
I looked over to the Gryffindor table and saw the twins whispering, it was clear that they would want to enter. The Great Hall was full of under the breath talking, I didn't pay much attention. Until Dumbledore said something horrible: "Unfortunately we had to cancel Quidditch this year."
After this sentence the hall exploded, people were screaming across the room, the whole Slytherin team, including me, jumped off the seats and cried a lot of rude things towards Dumbledore. Above all screaming I could hear the twins protesting.
I looked at Draco, he was our seeker, his eyes were torn open in terror and I shook my head angrily. I wouldn't survive a whole year without Quidditch. I already was in year six, the last year in which I could worry about something else than my graduation, next year won't be enough time to play. That was a catastrophe.
"You idiotic old man! How in the world is a year without Quidditch gonna look like?!" Screamed Marcus Flint across the table, he was our team captain and actually kind of dumb but he wasn't wrong about this.
Dumbledore waited patiently until the storm ended and continued to talk as if nothing happened. He clapped and food appeared on the table but my appetite vanished minutes ago.
I threw my fork annoyed on my plate.
"Calm down, this has a silver lining too: you can finally concentrate completely on school." Said my idiot brother Max and watched me with a mean smile on his face.
"You know, that I have better grade than you, do you?"
"And yet I am head boy, you didn't even become the team captain even though your competitor was Flint." I looked at him and massaged my forehead, I felt how a bad head ache was slowly developing.
"Polish your stupid medals, they won't help you in real life."
Max laughed and shook his head as if I was a dumb child.
"We will see, sister."
After the dinner I was walking straight to the dorm rooms, I really had to sleep.
Maybe I would wake up tomorrow morning and everything was just a nightmare.
After I passed the portrait I reached the common room, it was quite empty, just a few people were sitting in the arm chairs.
I hurried up to reach the dorm and ran into someone for the second time today.
I looked up and immediately laughed, it was my best friend: Fiona Malock.
She was one of the few half bloods in Slytherin and not very admired by the others, that's why we had to hide our friendship so that my family wouldn't find out. But there was no better person than Fiona.
She was tall, her hair was platinum blonde and her eyes were as brown as a freshly born deer.
We hugged each other long and happily.
"I missed you so much!" I sighed and Fiona nodded.
"Same, it sucks that I couldn't come to the World Cup."
When she mentioned the World Cup I felt a wave of nausea, this night left some dark memories.
We were there. And I didn't tell anyone but my parents and Max vanished soon before the Dark Mark appeared in the sky, they left Anthony and me behind. I knew what they did and with who. But no one else can ever know.
"Yeah, it sucked, but we have us now, right?" I said fast to change the topic and fortunately it worked.
"I have something for you." Fiona turned around to her bed and opened her suitcase. Than she gave me a small, brown package. I opened it and screamed in happiness.
"You are the best!"
There were circa twenty cigarettes in the package, my favorite kind, to be specific. The ones you only got in this one shop in Diagon Alley. The ones my parents will never know about.
"Thyme and ironwort, right?" Fiona asked and I nodded, still too happy to talk.
"You can't believe how bad the summer was without these."
"Sure enough not as bad as a summer without me!" She answered and sat down on her bed.
"True, my family was so horrible, you can't even imagine." I mourned and started to change my clothes. I put the cigarettes neatly on the bottom of my suitcase, I had to save them.
"I can, your big brother just greeted me with
'Hey scum!'" She had a crooked grin on her lips and I gritted my teeth.
"Don't listen to him, he's the scum."
She sighed. "I know."
"What are you the most excited for this year?" I asked while I tied my hair into a bun.
"Not sure, maybe transfiguration? I looked into the books and it seemed to be fun, what about you?"
"Well it used to be Quidditch, but Dumbledore just destroyed that." I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Yeah, guess you have to find a new way to beat up Fred and George, right?"
"So funny."
Fiona searched something in her suitcase. "What do you think about this Triwizard Tournament?"
I shrugged. "I don't really care, it annoys me that some strangers will come here and of course this whole thing has to start on my favorite holiday!"
"Do you think your brother will enter?"
"Max? I'm pretty sure, he never misses a chance to be the perfect son." I rolled my eyes to the thought of my disgusting brother.
"Maybe he gets killed, Dumbledore said people died before."
"I don't think we have this much luck."
