[A few days later]

Jughead pov

Work is boring. Don't get me wrong I love my job but the meetings? Not so much, I'll much rather be at home with Betty.

As the meeting finished I walked to my office when my phone rang from my pocket. J-"hey baby, what's up? Everything okay?" B-"yes don't worry. I'm just calling to ask if you could go to the store after work..?" She asked J-" I can.. What do you need?" B-"um... i-i ran out of p-pregnancy tests... Please don't get your hopes up, jug, I just wanna check, o-okay?" She rambled J-" Betty clam down, take it slow. I got you, do you need me to buy pads if you get your period soon. You know if we aren't lucky this time." B-"yes please," she sniffed, J-"I'll be home soon, I love you!" B-"thank u, I love you more!" J-"no I-" the line disconnected. 

Of course she hung up before I could disagree with her. I sat for another hour finishing for the day and left to go to the store. I bought her all the stuff she needed and chocolate because for all people she deserves a little extra. She has made me soft and it's weird. Beforehand nothing could break me - nothing did break me. But Betty, Betty made my heart melt and brought the light into my world that I didn't know I needed. A lot of people see me as a tough guy, don't get me wrong I am, and used to be in my younger years. I would seem like this badass person driving my motorcycle giving no fucks. I'll always be that person just a better version. And that is because of Betty, all because of her. 

J-"hey," I said softly as I walked through the door dropping my back and walked over to her on the couch. J-"are you okay?" I asked as I said besides her bringing her into my arms. Her breath was heavy and she looked tired. B-"I- I am.... I'm just tired," I looked down at her making her look up at me. J-"Betty," I know when she's isn't telling the truth. Her eyes filled with tears quickly. B-'' I'm sorry I can't control it." She said as she started crying. J-"it's okay," I assured her, rubbing her back. I hold her tight not saying a word. No words need to be said, it'll only make it worse. She calmed down, still clinging to me. J-"take a breath, breath slowly." I reminded her. 

I kissed her head, loosening my grip so she could turn around to face me. B-" thank you jug," J-"baby it's no problem, I wouldn't just let you sit crying by yourself. Maybe I'll cry with you next time." I said, making her crack a smile. B-"I love you." She smiled, I kissed her lips. J-"and I love you." I smiled at her, J-"you have a nice smile." I said honestly, she started to laugh. J-"what?" I giggled not knowing what she was laughing at. B-"that's-that's something you say on the first date jug!" She said laughing uneasily. B-"and we're married!" She continued to laugh. I chuckled at her, she's unbelievable but she does really have a nice smile.

Betty pov

I left jug on the couch so I could get him something to drink. B-"juggie," I said quietly when I walked in. J-"yes, love?" I handed him his drink. B-" are you okay?" I asked him since I didn't get the changes because I was the one crying. He pulled me closer and started talking. J-" yes Betty, I'm okay. I did have one thought though." He stopped and looked at me. B-"okay..? Go on." I said, J-"well maybe you should wait a while with the pregnancy test - I know I just bought you some, but maybe wait a month or two." He spoke carefully, J-"I'm just looking out for you, okay? I'm afraid if you take them to offend you'll just get more disappointed." He continued, while rubbing his hand up and down my arm.

B-"yeah, you're probably right." I agreed sighedning

[The next day]

B-"Wake up!" Jug jumped up, J-"what?! Are you okay?" I giggled at him as he rolled his eyes seeing I was fine. J-"why'd you do that!" He complained, B-"sorry." I giggled passing him his phone. B-"Archie called," I smiled. J-"and you had me wake me for that." B-"yes and be nice! Now you go call him and I'll make us breakfast." He sighed and walked downstairs while I got dressed. I could hear him talking as I walked down. I stopped for a minute just admiring him. J-"i know bro, but you and Veronica were lucky. I'm happy for you, really." He said to Archie, I frowned my brows. J-"we keep trying, nothing has happened yet." He paused again and continued. J-"yeah don't get me wrong sex is great and all but it's constantly." I looked confused at him but luckily he still hadn't noticed me. I walked further down and made my way to the kitchen.

A few minutes later he joined me in the kitchen. He kissed my cheek and grabbed the toast from the counted I placed for him. J-"wanna go visit my parents today?" He asked, I stood with my bag against him and rolled my eyes, asshole.

J-"Betty? What's up? Did I do something?"

B-"you're fine" I huffed, I turned to him and crossed my arm. B-"just eat your food." I walked back upstairs and into our bedroom, flopping onto the bed and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I could hear jugs footsteps come closer. J-"what's with the mood?" He asked and sat down. B-"do you have to be so annoying." I mumbled, still staring at my phone. J-"what did I do?" He raised his voice getting frustrated. B-"nothing, I just guess you don't find me attractive anymore." I turned away from him so I was laying on my side facing the nightstand. J-"excuse me, what?" He grabbed my shoulder, turning me on the other side. J-"did you say I don't find you attractive?" He asked, confused. I stared into his face saying nothing. J-"Betty, baby, sweetheart. You are the hottest person I know! Like for real! It sounds like bullshit because I'm your husband but you are beautiful." His lips curled into a smirk as he leaned closer to my ear. J-"and don't get me talking about that ass of yours." He smirked. I giggled loudly, J-"that's what I like to hear." He smiled, B-"I'm sorry I'm listening to you and Archie conversation." J-"oh, that's why you said that. Betty, I promise you it's nothing to do with you, okay?" I nodded. J-"I love you," he kissed my forehead. B-"I love you too," I smiled.
