Chapter 3: Hatred

My bones turned ice cold. That nightmare that I always dreamt at night had come to a reality. I stared at the figure in front of me. His cold aroma spread like a wildfire. His gaze was as sharp as I remembered. He was intensely tall, hunching over me. He wore a robe, that was pearl white. The darkness in my mind grew more. My head couldn't contemplate anything. The surrounding seemed to become blurry. The eyes, with no more tears, had begun to fill with them. I remember that face crystal clear.

The Emperor.

"How interesting" roared the emperor, "What is this filth bag doing in my private land?" 

Even though I had always hated him, a sharp feeling attacked my heart. He forgot me. Did I expect anything less? He was rude. He was heartless as I have heard. I smirk, at my nonchalance and naiveness. How I hoped. His eyes were frosty and his face was like a sword that was ready to attack at any time. 

"Ah yes, your majesty. The apology is mine. Please forgive my stupidity." I act back with a fake smile plastered to my face. All that was running through my mind was curses. 

After ten years, I finally collide with him. My worst fear. He looked at me like he was about to eat me up. I stare back at him and examine him like he is examining me. He must think I am crazy to look directly into the "Wisest and Greatest" leader's eyes. If I was told that, I would forget the etiquette books I had been reading, practised, and I would start burst out laughing. 

Now that I looked at him, my memory engraved this man into my memory, which I knew I would regret in the future. He was handsome. If he wasn't what he was, I would have loved to call this man my dad. He didn't look the age he should be. He was in his early thirties if I were to be correct. He was a human who was packed with muscles, I dare to say how strong he was. His eyes were like mine, crystal blue. These types of eyes are rare, and only the royal family possesses these types of coloured eyes...

Oh no! I forgot I didn't want this man to know I was related to him. 

"Ah yes, crystal blue eyes. I wonder where you got that from." The emperor smirked, "Such dark brown hair, reminds me of someone..." said the emperor. His amused eyes turned to frost. A sharp glare. 

Within seconds I was off the ground.  I shut my eyes tightly, I knew this was gonna be my end!

"Now what are you doing in the private garden of my palace?" Laughed the emperor with no hysteria. My eyes fluttered open, why was he so kind now? I swear he had a multiple personality disorder, his mood kept changing!

Wait, what! Then it hit me.  When did I arrive at the private garden in the main palace? The Bronze Palace is way further than the main one. It is the furthest away. Was it the running that caused it and my unnecessary curiosity?

"Do you not talk? You are awfully boring, here take her!" said the emperor as he shoved me to the guard next to him. 

I was dumbstruck. What had just happened? I started going through my memory for what was happening. Every single small step and every big step. Within a second, I already understood my mistake. I couldn't believe how dumb I was. Now my world was going to turn into more hell. Should I fight back or should I stay still? No! I hated this man, the man who ruined my life!

"Stop!" I screamed. Tears rolled down my face like waterfalls. 

Both the guard's eyes and the emperor's eyes darted at me. I hadn't had such an outburst in my life. Normally I am a very calm and patient person. This time however I couldn't let my life become hostile. 

"What are you doing to me? What do you want? Just let me live in peace as you did for the last ten years. I beg you, your highness." I curse at the emperor, while I am still held by the knight who could most probably kill me in an instant for offending the emperor. 

"Ah! There we go! You are very amusing I see. You just needed a push, but you are quite short for a ten-year-old." Fired the emperor.

That hit hard. I didn't expect that to happen but that hurt bad. I was absolutely short for a ten-year-old. I don't even think he cared about the part how he didn't see me for ten years. 

"Lucas, bring her to my room, we got somethings we need to discuss. She is my daughter after all, isn't she Lucas?" Commanded the Emperor. 

"Yes, your majesty!" Answered Lucas as he stared at the emperor while holding me tightly against his chest. 

My breath stopped. No! This can't be happening. Please put me back into that lonely palace. I would love to go back there. I don't wanna go to this beast's room. Why me? Why do you care for me after ten years? I don't want to go. I don't want to go. 

Tears flood my eyes, but I try to hold them strong. I am only a child, you can't mess with me like this! Don't give me hope. Please don't. I don't deserve it. It was my fault that nobody loves me. My fault my mother died. My fault I was born. My fault! My fault! My fault! Are you happy now? I admitted it!

What are you trying to do to me? Let me go back to my dark abyss. My heart started to throb crazily. If you feel guilty for your actions, which I doubt you do, please just forget it. 

I watch as the figure in front of me takes me one step closer to the place, I know I will regret this the most.  I still hate you! You did this to me! You caused me all this trauma, and now you ask me to come to your life. How disgusting are you father?

I WILL NEVER FORGIVE YOU! NEVER!
