As soon as I had collected myself, Sophia immediately started talking to me about the mirrors.
"I know that you were kinda in your own world but... did you notice that the mirrors didn't fog up when you breathed on them?!" sophia asked my curiously.
"Ya now that you mention it... It didn't fog up." I remarked. Sophia just nodded and looked at me. "So why don't they fog up?!"
"Two people; a boy and a girl that are scientists were kidnapped and brought in here. They looked at the mirror and said that it didn't fog up because it's a two way mirror." Sophia said, answering my question.
"What is a two way mirror????!!!" I asked feeling quite stupid.
"It means, that someone is on the other side watching our every moves." I blushed furiously.
"You mean they saw my little outburst?" I could feel the tip of my ears turning bright red. Well at least they know what they are doing is bad.
"Don't worry, we've all done it." Sophia reassured me.
"So how come you know so much about this? Didn't you come here last night as well?" I asked her.
"No... It's the strangest thing. I was one of the first people to come here. Every morning we wake up, and there are more people on the roads sleeping. So we carry them into this building. It's like our own hospital. Apparently, the people kidnap us, and put this sleeping gas on us that wears off in a certain amount of time. but they only bring us in at night." Sophia told me.
"Well why don't you stay up all night and wait for them to come so you can escape?" I asked Sophia.
"Don't you think that we tried that?! We aren't dumb. You aren't the only one with family. It appears that every night at a certain time, like a curfew if you will, the gas is sprayed so that we can't see them." Sophia explained to me, "so unless you want a stiff back when you wake up in the morning; you go into bed at curfew. I've learned that the hardway."
"Well maybe that is exactly what they want you to do!!" I said, "I mean they might just want you to be in your bed. I mean what if we tried getting past them?"
"Lizzie.. you did hear me when I said that they whole place is surrounded by two way mirrors right? And who knows, they built this place... there could be tons of cameras and listening devices" Sophia exclaimed exasperated.
"WAIT!! THAT IS PERFECT!! WHAT IF THEY ARE LISTENING TO US!!" I shreiked.
"Your point?!"
"We should burn the whole place down so that they can't hear us. And then if we rebuild they won't be able to see inside. Let's hope they can lipread." I smirked.
"I don't want to sound pessimistic here but, I think these people are pretty smart. I bet they already have spies on the inside." Sophia pointed out.
"Ok ok. But let's just go with this plan, and then we will see with the spies can do. We can't make a 'perfect' place you know." I said.
"Touche." Sophia joked. And then, we started planning.
