I looked at the time and sighed, I had to start getting ready to go catching. I closed my book and got up from my couch, Oliver, my cat, eyed me as my back cracked and I went into my bedroom.I started getting undressed and pulled on what I liked to call my "catching clothes" which consisted of sturdy, flexible leggings, a thermal top and good running shoes. I felt that this was most ideal, considering nightmares could take place anywhere, wether it was snowy mountains or New York rooftops.
I had hated the thought of becoming a catcher when I was a child, loathed it, but now it felt like a sort of job, also, I couldn't lie and say I didn't enjoy it, I loved the adrenaline rush. It only ever got slightly annoying when it interrupted my reading.
I got my blades belt and put it around my waist, this belt of enchanted everlasting blades was was passed down in my family to every first born for at least 100 years. And lucky me was the first and last born of my family.
I was just about to drink the potion that teleported me into a random persons nightmare when a hand clasped my eyes shut. I couldn't even struggle against it as a strong smell hit my nose, making me pass out.Leah
I winked at the cute new cashier as I left the coffee shop, she blushed and looked away. I would become a regular at this place...My phone beeped, alerting me that it was soon time to get ready to go catching, my favorite part of every day. I practically bounced to my villa, adrenaline already bumping in my veins.
I decided what I was wearing was good enough, I just needed my teleportation potion and my sword, then I could get started.
I was just leaving my house, making sure my sword, Jalies, was secure on my back when my hair was roughly pulled back. I was about to kick out the attackers ankles when a horrible smell hit my nostrils and I drifted into darkness.

"Yea mom, I know I won't get myself hurt, okay bye." I hung up the phone and rolled my eyes, my mother constantly worried over me fighting nightmares since she wasn't a catcher, my father was. I felt like she completely disregarded the fact that I was a grown man who had years of training and experience, but there was nothing I could really do about it.I grabbed my enchanted crossbow and arrows and slung them across my back, I would be fine, I always was.
Slipping my sneakers on, I left my suite, ignoring the blatant stares I got from a group of teenage girls, it wasn't because of my crossbow considering it was invisible to the normal eye, but simply because of my looks and that I didn't want attention. I scoffed internally, what was with girls and trying to "change" men for the "better" when the men they were with were straight up criminals, and unattractive on top of that.Pick a struggle.
I was just about to chug down my potion when my knees were kicked out from under me. I was caught by surprise, giving the attacker a second of upper hand. Not that much of one, I thought as I was about to turn around and punch him, but a ghastly scent filled my nose and my body went numb, leading me into unconsciousness.

My men brought in my warriors, unconscious yet unharmed, as I asked of them. I grinned then told them to leave them on the floor then leave the room. You see, I didn't like kidnapping, especially when it came to the gifted, I strayed away from them, but it this was a special case.
I'll get into detail with the warriors later, but for now, all that mattered was that they were here.
And you of course.
Well, I guess I could tell you about why I brought these warriors here.
You already know that they were gifted to hold off nightmares for the most part so they don't ruin our lives, but what you don't know, is that the nightmares are learning.I know, sounds crazy but here me out.
Recently, the nightmares have become smarter, stronger and learn slowly on what the weaknesses our warriors have. And of course they haven't done that themselves, no, the nightmares are have started...negotiating...with the demons of hell.
And while we don't get know the extent of these negotiations, what we do know is it's going to be huge, bigger and worse than we've ever seen before.
Basically, what I'm trying to say is, because of the added strength they are starting to build...They might become more than just nightmares...
