Problem I

...I was always at the top...

...there was no force in this world who can catch me, punish me for all the crimes I have committed...

Where did it all go wrong...why did I make such a foolish mistake?

"God...I'm such an idiot," he mumbled, turning to his back as one of the guards banged a metal baton against his cell door. Shut up, I got it already...just leave me alone! The footsteps grew distant till only the hallways echoed with its faint taps or the ever ongoing groans of his fellow felons. As soon as a couple minutes passed after the guard left, Riko sat up in his creaky bed, a few dust occupying the already dirty air of the cell. With a frustrated sigh, he took his hand and rubbed his face, a bit irritated by his current situation. I need to get out of here...but how? And do I...even have enough time to spare making a plan? No...I need to calm down and-! Riko jumped a bit as his train of thought was disrupted yet again by a guard banging on the cell, the guy's expression was smug as he chuckled amusingly to himself at Riko's discomfort.

"It's that time of the day again, get your ass to the mess hall," the guard smiled once more as he banged against the metal, "'course, I don't mind if you starve yourself. Nasty way of going out and it'll sully you're rep too." With one last wicked grin, he unlocked the door and casually walked off, uncaring of what the prisoner will do. Of course, it was just that kind of place where the guards inside don't really care. No one has gotten out and barely any would dare try to escape, least they suffer the consequence of being brutally beaten up by the guards out of "self defense" or "necessary discipline." As he followed a couple of paces behind the guard, he'd constantly make eye contact with the other prisoners, his gaze switching from here to there as he searched for any features or possible traits that could aid him in his escape. But that necessarily won't mean that they, too, will escape along with him; they would act more of a...martyr or scapegoat for the necessary good that is Riko. Still, there was no new some bodies who caught his attention. That is to say, not yet at least.

The mess hall was also a place of little discipline, fighting and killing frequently occurring here. Like normal day life, there were the occasional groups, nothing too fancy, just there to protect themselves. It was the lone ones that everyone was wary of, being by them selves for a reason. But I haven't much to worry since I'm one of the lone ones...however, unlike the others, I like to chat to see if I can rack up some info on this place. Unfortunately, there's barely any progress to be made and I haven't gone that far either. He sighed heavily and got some of the slop they call "food," taking it and heading to an empty part of a table. As he was walking, various wolf whistles and loud talking drew his attention, his gaze brought upon the common scene played in a repetition of sorts; a pack of wild dogs howling for a single, lost caribou who wandered in the wrong part of the woods. With a slight shrug, he was about to head to his set destination when suddenly a loud thud silenced the room, one of the biggest and loudest of the dogs collapsed on the ground, his motions wobbly as he tried to process what just happened; in fact, everyone in the room was probably wondering what just happened, and Riko was not excluded from this baffling phenomena. What shocked him more made him drop the tray of slop, the only really audible sound in the silence of the room. His eyes grew wide and his mouth slightly open and quivering as he tried to form the right words to respond to his view. The caribou's eyes traced the ground as she looked towards the thrown man to the food collapsed on the ground until she exchanged eye contact with Riko, the trigger for his speaking ability to return to him. "A-Addie!?"

The girl winced at her name called, paused for a moment and then matched his surprised expression as well. "Riko? Why..why are you here!?"
