Tahime
I woke up and prepared for my day, man 1st day back to school after Winter Break. This job I love, it's something, even though it's cleaning up after brats it's something. I've made a few friends, and i'm trying to give back to the community by giving them insight and words of wisdom. I looked out of the window and watched the sunrise over the empty field across the street. I should have been up earlier but I needed the extra hours of rest. I got up, showered, and then headed down for some breakfast. I made some quick cereal. It was ten minutes until 8 when I heard a car honking outside, I went to the window and looked and saw that it was Lorenzo, and his brother Lamonte with him. I grabbed my stuff and went outside.
"So you know basketball season started, our school got games coming up." I heard Lamonte say as I got in the car.
"Yeah and our school is going to kick your school's ass." Lorenzo said laughing.
"Negro please." Lamonte laughed. "Our boys at Carter High can run circles around your boys at Booker T Washington." He laughed again. Lorenzo drove Lamonte down to his school for work, even though he'd be late. Seems like the first day of school after Winter break everyone is running late.
"Alright bro i'll pick you up later on." He told him.
"Alright sounds like a plan." He said.
Lorenzo then drove towards our high school. "So you ready for the first day of school, we're going to be cleaning up after them lil' gremlins." He said laughing.
"I know right, i'm really looking forward to that." I said as we both laughed our ass off.
As we drove down the road he turned it on to WGCI and they was playing this song and he screamed, which made me jump for a second.
"Nigga what the hell...."
"My bad Tahime, this is my jam. This is "Big things poppin' By T.I. " He said blasting the radio. Then he started rapping.
"Now I do it like I wanna do it and do that shit in front of you Real nigga vision pimpin', I ain't seein' none of you I do it for my nigga Phil's daughter and his mama too I do it for my oldest sons and their grandmama too Do it for my daughters and my youngest son's mama who Go buy what she want because she know it ain't a problem to You do something to them and to you I'll bring the drama to You do it for a day or so, we do it for a month or two, I do it for my partners, go make sure them niggas stuntin' too
We do it with them choppers, ain't no problem, where you runnin' to? I do it for the block, that why ain't nobody stoppin' me I do it for my pop and my cousins too, they watchin' me....."
He turned the radio down as we pulled up into the school.
"Oh so now you wanna turn it down." I said laughing.
"Well i can turn it back up." Lorenzo said as he blasted it again and laughed then turned it back down. He parked in a parking spot. "Alright old man well meet me back here later on." He said.
We both went our separate ways as i went into the school and went into the janitors closet and got the supplies out as people was coming from the cafeteria from breakfast. Some of the kids were leaving stuff where they sat but others picked their stuff up and took it to the trash can.
