[Twenty-Three]

*Same day at 8:16 a.m.*

Jeno:
So my first class doesn't start until ten. Do you wanna talk for a little bit?

Jaemin:
Of course. So what time are you going to work? Or do you not work today?

Jeno:
No I don't work today. My last class always ends before three everyday. So I'll be working 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., which is when the place closes. So we can talk before I go to school everyday and a little bit after I get home from work. You wake up around 7 a.m. right?

Jaemin:
Yeah. Okay that's fine. We can talk when I wake up and before you go to sleep, and when I just got home from school and you just woke up.

Jaemin:
Wouldn't working so much affect your studies?

Jeno:
I only work every other day, so I work tomorrow. We actually do have more time to talk then.

Jaemin:
Yay! Okay. Can we Skype call?

Jeno:
Sure. I'm eating food right now though lol.

Jaemin:
Well you should.

Jaemin is calling from Skype

"Hey," Jaemin said after Jeno picked up the phone.

"Hey gorgeous." Jaemin noticeably hid his face in his pillow and Jeno smiled. "Are you in bed?"

"Yeah. I've just been watching a drama. I'm bored." He pouted and Jeno giggled at his cuteness. "You know? I don't even know your last name and here I am trying to build a relationship with you."

"It's Lee."

"When's your birthday? Mine is August 13, 2000."

"Um... April 23rd. The same year."

"You're older than me." There was a smirk in Jaemin's voice and Jeno furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "Boomer."

"I'm only four months older than you. How does that make me a boomer?"

"It just does. You act like one." Jeno gasped and held his hand to his chest in offense, making Jaemin start laughing. "I'm kidding Puppy. So what are you doing for Halloween?"

"I'm probably just gonna sit at home and watch horror movies. What are you doing?"

"Me and the others are gonna go to this Halloween party. It's being thrown by students at our school."

"You're going to a party?" Jeno asked, concern evident in his voice.

Jaemin sighed and nodded. "Is that okay with you?"

"Well don't ask me for permission to go. It's not my life." He chuckled. "I'm just worried. There will be a bunch of stupid drunk guys there I'm sure."

Jaemin giggled and sat up, looking through his screen at Jeno who was sitting on his couch eating breakfast. "You don't have to worry. I'll be with my friends all night. Besides, who would want me? I'm surprised you even agreed to trying this out."

"Everyone would want you. That's the problem. Who wouldn't want to hook up with a cute ass twink like you?"

Jaemin choked and started genuinely coughing, making Jeno start laughing. "I am not a twink!'

"I beg to differ. Okay. I won't be too worried about you going. Just please promise me that you'll be careful. Don't go into any rooms alone, don't leave your drinks in the open, and don't follow strangers anywhere. It's for your own safety Nana."

Jaemin nodded and gave a reassuring smile. "I know, I know. These are common sense things. I've never been to a party before though so I'm kind of nervous."

"What do you have to be nervous about? You just go there to drink and stand around."

"Well I'm like..." Jaemin paused for a moment and then sighed. "Even though it's college, I'm like a quote on quote popular student."

"Really?"

"Yeah, so I'm kind of like.... expected to be one of the people that makes the party fun."

"That sucks," Jeno groaned, grabbing his phone and lying on his couch. "Halloween's on a Sunday though. What about classes the next day?"

"School's canceled on Monday for maintenance or something."

Jeno made a "hmm" sound and groaned again. "I have to get going. I like to get to class a little bit early."

Jaemin whined and shook his head. "Stay home today so we can talk."

"Sorry Nana. I have an exam. We can talk later though. When you wake up tomorrow morning? Is that fine?"

Jaemin sighed and nodded before smiling. "Sure. I'll talk to you later Puppy."

"Talk to you later."
