Well in our lives all of us face situations that make us do things that no one, not even we would have imagined was possible for us to do. And so was the case with Mayank today- he never in his life had imagined he could hate somebody to such an extent that he would curse and abuse him so bad.
Well what was the reason of this? Let us rewind to a two year old interview of his ex- bestfriend, as he claims now.....it all began from there.
Rahul had admitted in a casual interview that his best friend, someone who knows him the best was Hardik. Well Mayank never minded it much. When he entered the team, he would always feel a bit left out when Rahul and Harry spoke about how close they were, but then as at the end of the day Rahul jumped on him calling him that obnoxious nickname of Mayo, Mayank knew Rahul will always be his best friend.
However, he hasn't been able to convince himself of this lately. Last month as they celebrated Rahul's b-day and Harry had claimed that he should get the first bite of the birthday cake of his best friend, and as Rahul complied without any objection, Mayank couldn't help but feel a pinch in his heart. When Rahul and Harry had claimed in interviews about their bond, Mayank couldn't help but feel he has lost his best friend.
And today it seemed to be the final nail in the coffin. As he was travelling with his Ranji team, a few youngsters were ardent fans of HaRul and had even gone as far as asking Mayank how close they are as they knew Mayank was also in the team with them. And courtesy them, Mayank had also seen the numerous VMs that fans have made on their bromance. Well he did know about these fanclubs but he never opened them....but today seeing all random edits and videos made him realize that he has been replaced in Rahul's life.
And he sat with a thunder-clouded expression at the back of the bus cursing Harry and Rahul all along.
Cut to 2 months later, Rahul was in a super excited mood....and why won't he be...Mayank would be joining the team for the Test series. He would get to meet him after a long time and the fault is all Mayank's cause according to Rahul, that idiot won't come into the city and so it is difficult to meet.
As Mayank entered, he saw Rahul sitting in the lobby and all the moments of Harry-Rahul friendship that he had witnessed flashed in front of his eyes.
Rahul: Hey Mayo!!
Well Mayank would be lying if he would say he didn't feel warm with Rahul waiting for him, but knowing Rahul he won't ever show that he was waiting for Mayank, and so he took to his best resort.
Rahul: Good you came.....well I was just waiting for a parcel of mine to come..
And Mayank's face fell but he just covered it up as Rahul pulled him up to his room. As they entered the room, Mayank saw Harry was sitting with Rahul's bag open and was trying all the perfumes that were available.
As Rahul realized, he left Mayank and pushed Harry away to zip up his bag as Harry kept on howling.
Harry: Pleasseee.....try karne de......mereko aaj Natasha ko date pe lejana hai...plleeeaaasseeee
Rahul: NO...No....Nooooooooo
And Harry just sat down on the bed with some deep thoughts in his head.
As Mayank was arranging his bags as he and Rahul would share the room,
Harry: Mayu, you know last week when we were plllaaayyyiinngggg.....
And Rahul rushed to shut Harry up, but as Harry continued with his attempt...Rahul handed him his entire stock of perfume and Harry left the room politely, well not before showing his tongue to Rahul.
In all this Rahul failed to notice the look that flashed across Mayank's face.....
Mayank (in histhoughts): Now Rahul doesn't even want to share his stories with me.....Well Iguess that is only correct he has his best friend, Harry to share hissecrets.....

Mayank is super annoyed, sad and angry...Ab kyaaa???
