He stopped in his tracks, dropping onto his knees, gasping for air. He sighed, slowly relaxing himself as he looked up slightly, seeing the sky, turning into a deep shade of blue, as the greenery around turned grey. He sat there totally silent as fireflies would slowly start to emerge from the green earth hair.
"How far-"
He took a deep breath, as his head tilted down.
"How far must I go on for..?"
He questioned himself as he got a little lightheaded. His vision started getting blurry, as he stared forward into the woods, the cool breeze ran through his hair, as the leaves rustled. He slowly fell onto the field, the right side of his face flat onto the field. He stared quietly at a figure which could be seen far into the distance. The figure slowly made his way towards him, the leaves 'cronched', every step the figure took.
"You were so far, yet, so close.."
The figure sighed as it knelt down in front of him, caressing his head. As soon as the figure came into contact with him, his breaths started slowing down, causing it harder for him to breathe. His eyes started closing slowly, as if he was a bout to faint. The figure got up... slowly falling down onto the field on its side. His heart skipped a beat as he saw yellow fluid coming out from the figure. He was being lifted up by his neck. The figure on the ground slowly turned grey, as its color drained out from it slowly, at a painful pace. He stared at the man who was holding onto him, frowning weakly.
"L-let go of me"
He hissed, trying to grab onto their wrist, his hand simply fell through it, his eyes widened a little, shocked. The man smirked, chuckling.
"What do we have here~? You don't seem like any normal creature"
The man tilted his head slightly,
"Were you sent by them? Were you sent here to find out about us?"
The man stared into his eyes, the man's eyes were.. cold. The man placed him over his shoulders walking away from the scene as if nothing happened.
"We'll take you in, just incase they sent you here, also, call me Issei"
Issei... he thought to himself. It sounded so familiar, his head started aching from thinking. After walking awhile, Issei brought him into a shed, placing him down gently onto a bed, Issei laid him down, placing the blanket over him.
"There, there. You seem so weak, your eyes aren't even able to be opened that wide. What's your name?"
Issei asked, as he sat at the foot of the bed, smiling softly.
"N-name?.. i don't know.."
Issei chuckled as removed his coat, along with his gloves, tossing it over onto a chair, across the room.
"What if, I give you a name? What do you think of... Rui?"
He looked down as his chest nodding slightly..
"That sounds nice.."
Issei got up as he made his way over to the firepit, right beside the bed, squatting down
"Then, starting from now on, I'll call you Rui now. Go ahead and take a rest, I'll make you some soup later on"
Issei said, as he stared into the fire, as his eyes glowed, reflecting the fire. Rui slowly closed his eyes, feeling rather safe, he whispered..
"Thank you.."
