Cody hit the water but I wasn't going to just stop swimming. The boat was getting pretty far but I didn't care. I dove under to confused him. I went up and he was very close. Cody grabbed me and went to look for the boat, " great, just great. The boats out of sight."
" why do you care."
" that was the only pay i ever got, thanks to you i'll loss that if you die."
" just say a shark got me."
" i can't"
"why?"
" because i just can't ok."
" there is other pay you know?"
" MY SISTER IS ON THAT BOAT KID."
It was silent, I was uncomfortable and felt bad now. Cody saw land in the distance, " you ready to swim kid?"
" why?"
" Shark isn't far from us and there's land over there."
" YOUR SAYING THIS NOW"
I swam for my life and Cody followed behind but much slower. When we got to land i was having a hard time breathing. Cody laughed, " your so easy to trick."
I looked at him, " Be quiet, at least I'm not being held captive by murderous pirates anymore."
" So that's what you see me as?"
I looked down not knowing how to answer. Cody started gathering sticks and a small log with dry grass on it. He threw it in a pile and lit it with two stones. I sat by the fire, my clothes were wet. Cody took his shirt off and hung it on the nearest branch. He looked at me, "what, i'm not getting sick because you decided to jump overboard."
I looked down, I was cold, plus my clothes were wet and heavy. Cody threw fresh clothing at me, " put them on. Get out of that dress its annoying."
I grabbed the clothes and went into the tree line changing into the clothes he gave me, they were still wet. I didn't put the shirt on because it wasn't dry. I hung the shirt by Cody's shirt then sat down. Cody ran off, I didn't know where he was. I laid down and closed my eyes.
A moment later I was woken up, Cody was shaking me. He said, " get your shirt on, we have to go."
" where?"
" unless you want eaten by cannibals."
I got right up as Cody handed me my shirt. I put it on and I got a glance of the people Cody was talking about. We ran to shore and ended up back in the water.
