Taking a deep breath you slowly plug in your phone, glancing at the note, and run downstairs. You were going to do it, you swear, you just had to figure out the right thing to say. 'Dear Matthew-oh no, no. That? That would be a mistake.' This whole thing seemed like a mistake if you were honest with yourself. A mistake waiting to happen. And on top of that it was just plain weird. Running into a random guy, then he follows you home, and leaves you a note with his number?!? What did he expect would happen? The reasonable side of your brain screamed out STRANGER DANGER! 'But I am forgetting that he didn't really DO anything besides return my phone.' You sigh and turn on the television, flipping through the channels, lost in thought. 'Hey! I'm the girl who's phone you returned,'

"You had me at 'hello',"* the tv chimed.

'I'll take you up on that coffee.'

"As you wish."**

'Where would you like to meet?'

"-when you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start as soon as possible,"*** professed the man on the screen as you stared blankly past the tv set trying to come up with a normal thing t-

"OH WAIT. Was that The Princess Bride?!?"

Two hours later you woke up on the couch to the sound of the front door opening. "Hello?" you said groggily, peeking up from behind the couch to see your mother.

"Hey, I'm home!" she called out, not realising you were right there, "Oh! Hey, how was your day?"

"Uh," you hesitated, not sure you should spill everything, "Good! It was good!"

"That's good, ha-"

"Kay, I've got homework, so I'm gonna go do that now!"

"Okay, well if you need dinner-"

"Nope I'm good!!" You say as you race upstairs

Laying in bed, laptop on your stomach, you scroll down your usual haunts on the internet. "UGGGHHH, there's nothing to do!! I've already checked this dumb site like 7 times in the past minute." You glance at your bedside table and see your phone 'Oh. Yeah.' You take your phone and cross the room to your desk. Picking up the note Matthew had left his phone number on and you open the messaging app. As you start to type in his number, you feel your heartbeat rise. Breathing deeply, trying to calm down, you quickly input the rest of the number in and go to add his name, and stop. 'Matthew, huh? What a nice name,' you think to yourself, pausing a moment and feeling a calm wash over you as you stare at the screen. Snapping back to reality, you remember you were going to do more than just stare at a name. You go back to the text, and, again, pause, 'Wait. What exactly was I gonna say?'
