(Y/N) PovA week had come and gone in the blink of an eye- well, not actually.
Much of that time consisted of Tobirama and I getting suicidal thoughts from listening to Hashirama gush about Mito. The man would not quit.
For whatever reason, I now know Mito's life story, her pet peeves, fears... hell I even know the woman's birth chart.
Where the actual fuck did Hashirama get all this information from?
The rest of my days were filled with healing wounded shinobi as they came back from missions, being forced to read books about political affairs and the other villages, and training with Madara.
At night, I'd curl up with little guy and some tea, and watch the stars. It was a little ritual of mine to keep me at least somewhat sane.
I could use some peace and quiet right about no-
"Good morning, my favorite assistant!" chirped Hashirama. The man was grinning so hard I'm surprised his face didn't tear in two.
"Hashirama it's too early for this. With your constant rambling, along with all that reading and training, I'm drained," I yawned as I complained to the Hokage.
"I agree with (Y/N)," announced Tobirama as he entered the office.
"Brother, if you do not cease this foolishness I'm afraid I might just off myself!" he continued.
"Now now, Tobirama. (Y/N). I'm only this cheerful because it's a very special day today!" Hashirama emphasized.
"Yeah we all know. That redhead of yours is arriving today. Your constant rambling made sure we'd never forget," I asserted.
Tobirama chuckled in response.
"I suppose I have been rambling, huh," sighed Hashirama as he hunched forward with a frown.
As much as I hate all the talk about Mito, I hate seeing a sad Hashirama more.
"You know what, Hashirama! I'm really excited for tonight. Why are we still here? We should all be making sure everything is set and stone for tonight!" I grinned, hoping my change in demeanor would turn that frown upside down.
My efforts were not wasted, for Hashirama immediately replaced his pout with that bellowing laughter I've come to love.
"That's the spirit, (Y/N)! Tobirama, take notes," he said, turning to his brother, who just crossed his arms and shrugged in reply.
"Alright, all the decorations, food, and activities seem to be in order. I may be able to get some fireworks for tonight as well, if I'm lucky. You two, go off and get ready. Put on your finest kimonos and yukatas. Make yourselves presentable for our guests. Oh, and let's meet back in here when we're all ready!" he blurted as Tobirama and I made our way out of the office.
