"M-Madara...slow down...you're going too fast!" I heaved.

"You're tired already? Tch, women. You better improve your stamina for next time," he barked back at me.

Wow, under other circumstances, this could be interpreted in an entirely different way.

Madara and I spent the rest of the day training together under the unforgiving sun. Kunai and shuriken littered the training grounds. Apparently beating each other to a pulp was his way of officially declaring a "friendship".

"Remind me why I agreed to be friends with you, Uchiha".

"Because you had no friends to begin with, and I pity you. Consider this charity work," he modestly spoke.

"Not true! I have friends!" I yelled back while slashing his arm with my kunai. Fresh droplets of crimson adorned his armor-clad body.

"Great, now I'll have to go to that imbecile Hashirama to heal this for me. Oh wait a minute, if I recall correctly, the Senju boasted about your impressive medical ninjutsu. Perhaps you could do the honors, hn," he smirked at me.

In response, I simply punched him right on the jaw, sending him flying backwards.

"Not a chance, porcupine".

"Damn you, petulant woman!" he huffed.

I shook my head and laughed at the sight of the mighty Madara Uchiha, now a disheveled mess. Walking over to him, I let down an arm for him to grab onto, and pulled him up.

Wiping the dust off his body, Madara looked at me for a few seconds before snorting, and walked away. Before the distance between us was too great, he slightly tilted his head to the right.

"Come," he ordered.

I lightly jogged after the man to catch up, and kept a good walking pace a little behind him.

"Where to?"

"I want to show you something," he hummed.

We made our way out of the training grounds, and through the village. The villagers all stopped what they were doing to give us both concerned glances. I couldn't blame them, Madara and I were covered in blood, sweat, and dirt. The Uchiha in front of me seemed to be oblivious to the stares, even the evident scowls some of the civilians would throw his way.

That's strange, why would they scowl at him?

Soon, we approached the Uchiha compound. Instead of going inside, however, Madara led me to a trail leading to the outskirts of the compound. To my surprise, I was met with a vast green field, and an ample lake. Madara was watching my expression closely.

"What is this place, Madara?"

"This is where I go to practice my falconry. I figured since we're friends now, I'd show you some of the things that bring me joy," he humbly replied.
