"Third door..." I mutter to myself while I explore the area to find Hoseok's office. Finally, I spot the panel with his name engraved.
Punching in the passcode, the lock beeps and flashes a bright blue. I push open the door and walk in carefully. The room is dimly lit due to the lack of presence. I switch on the light and I'm immediately greeted by the wide space.
Hoseok's desk is surprisingly neat with not a single pen or paper out of place. There's not much of anything in his office except for a few files and stationery here and there. I pull a chair over to his desk, sitting down while taking in his office.
Placing my bag on the floor, I take out my notebook with the written script and run over it again to see if there's anything else I should add.
After a while, Hoseok walks in panting heavily. His hands are full of lesson materials and his face is bright red from rushing.
"Sorry, they were asking questions." He huffs and puts down his things before taking a seat in his chair. The back of his neck glistens with beads of sweat, his lips are slightly parted as he continues to breath heavily.
"It's fine, I didn't wait very long." I give him a smile so that he wouldn't feel bad about it.
Hoseok gives me a short smile which shows his reluctance to let it go just like that. "Okay, show me the script." He reaches out a hand. I pass him the notebook and he starts to read page by page.
I fiddle with my fingers as I watch him review with a serious expression. My eyes follow his every movement after he closes the book. Hoseok stares at me but that only adds on to my anxiety.
"Is it okay?"
The man remains speechless, two fingers grasping his chin as remains deep in thought.
"I was just wondering..." He mumbles with a small frown.
Oh god what did I do wrong this time?
"Wondering about...?" Panic flurries within me at his words.
Hoseok sucks in a deep breath, "About how you managed to write such a good script!" His tone gets brighter with every word and a wide smile tugs on his lips.
"You scared me! I thought I did something wrong!" Hoseok laughs heartily.
"I don't know how you do it Aveline, this script is pretty good quality." Hoseok seems to be genuinely impressed since he looks over the script again with a big smile on his face.
"But there's something missing...I just don't know what." He taps his finger against the page. My brows knit together and I get up to pull my chair to his side so that we can investigate together.
"I think it's the ending. It feels a little empty." I suck in a breath, pulling my lower lip as I contemplate on what Hoseok said.
"Hmm, make a soft copy for now. We can practice with it first and we'll see how it goes. it won't be too late to make a few adjustments then." Hoseok says and I listen.
I take out my laptop and so does Hoseok. "Tell me when you're done. I have to finish marking some assignments." I give a curt nod.
Our laptops are placed side by side like us who were sitting side by side. Our fingers are busy typing away and the sound of pressed keys fill the room for quite a while. The chilly temperature paired with the skirt I'm wearing definitely isn't a good combination. I pick up my legs, barely managing to wrestle them onto the arm rests so that I'm sitting in a more comfortable and warm position.
