chapter 4 || hogwarts is my home

3rd person's pov:
A week had passed and hermione and harry where on their way to kings cross to got to hogwarts for the last time.

Harry's pov:
I had a protective arm around mione "well here it is last time going through as students"
"Is it just me or does it seem surreal being back here" "its does seem weird especially since its just you and I" "do you think ronald is come back?"

"Being honest I have no idea knowing ron he wouldn't want to come back for the education but for something alterior motive"
"Thats what I'm worried about" I pulled her closer saying "its okay if he is its only one year we can keep contacts low if you want?" "I think thats the best course of action" "come on lets get outta here before paparazzi maul us" she giggled while we pulled pur carriages through the platform once on platform 9 3/4 we pulled into a secluded compartment putting enchantments against any unwanted visitors.

"Harry I forgot we have to go to the head compartment to situate prefects" "wait wasnt ronald a prefect?" "Yes dont worry it'll be fast we just assign everyone a section of the train and leave" "okay lets go" we took of the enchantments slowly making our way to the head compartment. We stepped in to find all the prefect present respectively gryffindor had ronald and parvarti patil slytherin had draco malfoy and daphne greengrass hufflepuff had Ernie MacMillan and Hannah abbott and ravenclaw had padma patil and Anthony Goldstein. We made our way in the compartment starting the meeting hermione said "okay you all know we are the head boy and head girl for now all that needs to happen is reminding the designated area to put on their robes on before leaving the train you each patrol your specific house compartments with the fellow prefect from you house everything clear?" They all nodded in understanding I added "okay have a good rest of you day and if you find a straggling first year lead then to the boats same with the thestrals" we were leaving the compartment but got stopped not by ronald but by draco malfoy he asked "could I talk to you guys alone for a second" I thoroughly shocked by the sincere tone that never came from malfoy said "only if its okay with Hermione" "yea of course we have a isolated compartment anyway" we made our way back to our compartment with malfoy trailing behind.

When we got back to the compartment hermione applied half the charm whole I applied the other half. Hermione and I sat on one side and malfoy on the other hermione broke the obvious tension saying "what is it?"

Draco seemed shocked and put no mask to hide it "well I know your probably not going to believe me but over the summer has been a sort of wake up call for me since my father is in Azkaban mum is on house arrest I've been spending more time with her since father left the tension was easied slightly mum didn't believe in the pureblood beliefs since she was younger but she always had more of a connection with my aunt and decided of her older sister stays in line so should she she never loved my father it was only to not get disowned like sirius or my other aunt Andromeda mum showed me why she didn't believe that way and it made me realize all the bad things I did to so many people especially you two. Hermione im really sorry for how I treated you no words can make up how I acted I called you those ridiculous names that prove nothing and the fact I only targeted you probably made it worse I did it because partially my father tainted my head and I was jealous I was taught that purebloods are best at everything and muggleborns muggles and even halfbloods are scum it made me angry that muggleborn did so much better than me. I ended up growing to admire your brain over the summer and how much you wanted to learn. Harry all the insults and ridicules to be honest were empty threats I was honestly jealous that you got fame before I even knew why and sort of combined you two wohld always defended the other when I taunted you all I can really say is im sorry I know it happened and I can't change anything but I wanted you to know I hope we can put that behind us" when I looked at him he looked so downcast.

I looked at mione she seemed to understand saying "its okay draco we forgive you" he had a shocked face saying "really I mean... are you sure?""positive" we said in unison "you can stay in here with us the charms are secure" mione said "are you sure I don't want to intrude?" "Draco were friends now were sure" "thank you guys I appreciate it I would have found a compartment by myself if you hadn't offered" I spoke up "why what happened" "all my 'friends' ditched me after they found out mum and I betrayed voldemort" "hey now you know their not real friends" mione muttered "sort of like ronald" draco seemed to hear asking "is that why you left right away?" "Yea basically ronald gave mione a love potion same with ginny to me with the help of molly he also started getting abusive at hermione after the war luckily we got out when we did" "those traitors im sorry hermione you don't deserves that especially after the war" "its okay honestly if it didn't happen we wouldn't have gotten together"

I took that as cue to wrap my arm around her "wait you two are together? How long" "about two weeks"i said with a grin "I knew it everyone was betting on it" mione screeched "everyone's been betting on our love life?!?!?" "Mione calm down" "how are you not pissed" "I accepted it after all the rumors in 4th year" "oh harry" she gave me a bone crushing hug I pulled her close rubbing her back "ots okay you'll get used to it" "I hope so oh draco have you heard anything about the new class for us 8th years"
A/N: im referring to the students who are taking the 'extra year'as eighth years since technically ginnys year should be seventh years for clarification

"Well actually I do mum works in the ministry she is doing at home work but they say that this class is a class to remedy all the people who died in the war they want to start repopulating so their pairing people up and having a magical simulations of children we have to take care of for the year. I also heard of you have a lover they keep them together and after the project you want the baby or should I say toddler theirs a process to make them fully human my the end of the project they'll be about 3 years old then after they either put them for adoption of you keep them"

Hermione squealed next to me before saying "this is brilliant don't you think so harry?" Tugging on my hand I chuckled saying "yea it is but the question is will pregnancy be involved and how would they do that" "who knows but we could have a kid" the gleam in her eyes made me giddy seeing mione so excited put a smile on my face "you we would"

We all chatted for the whole train ride cracking jokes and learning what happened after the war.

After the feast and sorting Mcgonagall who is the new headmistress to pur new common room and dormitories which looked like an exact replica of the gryffindor common room bit slightly smaller since it was just us and possibly draco the rooms were similar but with a king size bed for each room.

It feels good to be home
