MY LOVER.....MY FRIEND.....A JAYLOR FANFIC

Part 7

Joe was getting more excited as his departure date for New York was getting nearer. His friends noticed a big difference in him. He smiles a lot, more gregarious, and walks like he's in cloud nine. He told Taylor he was going on a much needed vacation to sort out personal matters related to his heart.

"Are you sick, oh my God Joe you have to take care of your heart. Did you see a doctor? Are you on medications? What can I do? Do you need me there? " Taylor became frantic with worry when she heard this.

"I'm okay Tay don't worry your beautiful mind. I'm fine I'll take care of this my own way. I'll keep in touch".

"Please make sure you do. I'm so worried about you my darling". Hearing Taylor's concern made Joe's heart beat more faster and happier.

"I assure you I'm fine, specially after I open up my heart to the one I love".

Taylor's heart dropped when she heard what Joe said but she kept up her chipper attitude. "I'm so happy for you. Finally you found someone to love. I wish you all the happiness that you deserve my friend.

Taylor ended their conversation abruptly after this exchange. "Joe I'm busy right now. I have to go. Bye, good luck my friend".

Taylor started crying after their conversation. He is in love with some one. I have to accept that even if it really hurts. At least one of us is happy and found love I will always be his friend and nothing more. She called her assistant to cancel her plane ticket and hotel reservation immediately.

Joe was puzzled with Taylor's reaction to his confession about his heart. Initially, she was so worried then she abruptly ended their conversation when he mentioned about opening his heart to his love. Is she jealous? Did  I hear some  hint of  jealousy in her voice?  Joe had this nagging feeling that he has really offended her.

Taylor left her office early for the day and went directly to see her Mom. 'Tay I didn't expect you here today. Are you okay?" looking worried at Taylor's demeanor.

Before she could say anything, Taylor broke down sobbing and Andrea hugged her leading her down to sit on the couch. She just cried uncontrollably on Andrea's arms making her Mom teary eyed too.

"Mom, he is in love with somebody else. Joe is in love but not with me. I love him Mom" Taylor cried out. Andrea and Taylor remained hugging each other until Taylor's tears turned to sniffles. Taylor looked so sad and all Andrea could do was hug her and rub her back gently.

After Taylor has considerably calmed down she opened up to Andrea." Mom I got a call from Joe today, he is going on vacation and open up his heart to the one he loves those are his exact words. I was devastated when I heard that. It hurts Mom. I have fallen in love with him and I wish we never met again after 15 years."

"He's so good to me Mom, so kind and caring, so sweet and gentle, he is always there for me at all times. We have developed a deeper friendship that I have never experienced before  and I realized I love him when he told me he was going back to the UK. I was heartbroken then but now my heart is broken in pieces."

"If he is in love with somebody else all I can say is he missed out on a wonderful beautiful person that you are my darling daughter" then kissed her on the cheek.

"Thank you Mom. Even if it hurts I'm happy for him at least one of us found love and happiness."

After their talk Taylor went to her old room and took a nap. Scott arrived late in the afternoon and Andrea told him everything about Taylor's heartbreak. He listened and did not have anything to say until Andrea was done talking. 

"I noticed how happy she was when Joe was here, always smiling, pleasant, more gregarious. I have never seen her happier. She seemed inspired and full of joy. Now I understand who was the reason for that it's Joe. We have to do something before it's too late."

"Scott, if you are planning to intervene don't even think about it. Let them sort this out. Don't call Richard, I know you have hashed out your differences and are on good terms again."

"I will not as long as you promise not to tell Elizabeth about our children's predicament. This will be solved and not one parent will get involved."

Taylor stayed with her parents and went home to pack her things for a much needed vacation. She did not tell where she was going and just want to be alone.

Joe is so excited and overjoyed just thinking that he will be with Taylor in a matter of hours. The flight was uneventful and smooth. He called her just before he boarded but did not get any response. He sent  text messages several times but still no response. He was not worried, thinking  maybe she is just busy or in a meeting.

Immediately after landing Joe texted Taylor again and still getting no response. He checked in to his hotel and kept calling her, sending messages. He eventually called her office and was told that Taylor is on vacation. 

Joe went to Taylor's apartment and got no response after ringing the doorbell several times. He also knocked on her door loudly which was heard by her neighbor. "Taylor is away. There's no one home."

He was getting more annoyed and worried, he decided to visit her parents' home. Andrea answered the door and was surprised to see Joe. "You're here, what are you doing here? You have done enough heartache for my daughter, leave her alone" Andrea was full of anger and distrust on her face and was about to close the door on Joe. He begged her to let him in and explain.

" You don't need to explain I learned the truth from my daughter. Don't bother her anymore" then closed the door on his face.

Joe was extremely confused nobody wants to tell him where Taylor is and Andrea said that he caused Taylor's heartache. He decided to call Taylor's friends Abigail, Gigi and they are not even aware that she is on vacation. "Do you know if is there a particular place she wants to visit?" Both of them have no clue. Joe is frustrated and sad and exhausted but he motivated himself not did not give up easily.

"I will do everything to find you my love. I promise".
