"It's cold outside keep the window closed." She said as she pushed the window closed along with the blind.

The room was lit by the small lamp that sat in the opposite corner of he hospital bed. "Do you need anything else." She asked her father who laid in the bed. "No thank you, you being here is enough for me." He smiled weakly as her eyes saddened seeing her father lay there.

She pulled over a chair and sat next to the smiling man. "I missed you, sorry I've been so busy." He swayed his hand indicating it was okay. "You love volleyball, after your incident you still chose to follow your dream, I'm proud of you."

A long sigh escaped her lips as the smile never left his lips. "I-I just wish I h-had spent more time with you.." she spoke softly as she tried to hold back her tears. "I'm not gone yet, even if you never came to see me, I'm still the proudest dad." She started crying as her grip on the sheets tightened. "I'm sorry."

"Dont be just take care of yourself okay?" Her father's voice became soft as he struggled to speak. His chest slowly rising and falling as the machines beeped in the background.

Tears streamed down from her eyes as she grasped his hand tightly, never wanting to let go. "Dont worry about me, your a strong girl and you can do it I believe in you." He coughed causing the girl to panic. "Haa.. this isn't going to get any easier, but please be strong for me and continue to work hard." His hand slowly made it way to her cheeks wiping her tears.

"I can't without you oto-san." She sobbed out as she rested her head into his hand. "Don't make this harder for me." He chuckled softly. "I'll always her here to guide you even when I leave."

She nodded slowly. "I love you." He said has he knew they were his last words.

"I love you more."

The door slid open as her grandparents called off her to return home with them.

The following day she was back at the hospital with a bag of food so she could eat lunch with her father.

As she opened the door, her hands loosened around the straps dropping the bag into the floor. The doctors were bustling around the room as the machines echo filled the room, soon the room went silent.

She took a step forward as she could barely let out any words. "No! No I-I haven't said bye yet!" She cried as she was held back by nurses. "P-please let me see him!" She begged as she fell to her knees.

The nurses released the girl, she ran to her father grabbing his cold hand into her warmed ones.

His evident pale face and the lack of his chest raising up and down was clear as she knew he was now dead. "Oto-san please don't leave." She whispered as tears kept falling.

"I love you." She said as she was pulled out the room.

"Are you ready to go?" Her grandmother asked as the girl grabbed her suitcase. "Yeah let's go." She smiled as she walked to the car.

After her fathers funeral, her grandparents decided it was best she returned to her mother in Miyagi. There she would be happier and possibly make new friends.

"Dont be scared to come back, we'll miss you." Her grandmother hugged her once more before she stepped onto the train. She waved to them and walked to find an empty seat.

She sighed as she took in her surroundings. "Haaa I'll make sure to work extra hard for you oto-san." She mumbled to herself as he could feel her eyes slowly close.
