Chapter 3

You run out of potions class. You hear Hermione trying to catch up to you. She eventually does and says, "You can just pretend like nothing happened in there." You stop running. Out of breath, you reply, "I'm gunna have to though? I mean come on. There must've been a mistake." Hermione then says, "There cant have been a mistake. That was quite an easy potion. You wouldn't mess it up." Annoyed you say, "Just leave it for now," and you walk off to your dorm.

You walk in and lock the door behind you. You sit on your bed thinking about what just happened, when you hear a faint knock on the door. You walk over and open it and it was Tom Riddle. You nervously ask him, "Why are you here?" He looks in your dorm to see no one there and invites himself in.

You say angrily, "What are you doing?!" He looks at you with his emotionless face and says. "I need to talk to you." Your annoyed but you want to know what he has to say to you. "I did hear what you said your potion smelt like." He says. You look up at him shocked but also confused. "Why didn't you tell me in class then?" You say. He says, "I don't know I just thought I should tell you when it's just us two."

There's a silent awkwardness that fills the room. He then says, "I stayed back and smelt the potion for myself with no one around.." you look at him and say, "And.. What did it smell like?" He goes quiet for a few seconds. He begins to say, "Y-." He gets interrupted by Pansy storming through the dorm going straight for the shower. You know something funny happened to her so you smile and look up at Tom and he smiles too. But he soon looked away and went back to having no emotions at all. He says, "I better get going. I'll see you next lesson." You nod your head as you say bye.

As soon as he left you sat back on your bed shocked at how you saw him smile. He's never done that before and you feel proud of being the first one to ever see it. A few hours pass and it's time for lunch.
This time, you walked over to the Slytherin table. You sit next to Tom Riddle. He looks at you and says, "Surprised to see you here." You look at him and smile.

You didn't talk to him for the rest of lunch.
You decided to skip next lesson and just stay in the Slytherin common room.
