Finally...the school day was over. As I sneakily avoided literally any kid classified as, "popular", I headed to my motorcycle. Heh, Mom would've never let me ride this...But it's what I'm connected with most...I had a few stops to go to.

I...needed to go pick up my grandfather's ashes. He passed a week before-all this happened-but you haven't gotten to that part yet. I can still remember the look on the vice principals face when she was about to tell me. I felt so alone that day.

As I revved up the engine to leave the crematorium, I heard something go by, a shadow of some sort. Because of all the things I did with my pops, I've gained heightened senses, especially in hearing. I could tell I needed to get back home, and fast.

As I pulled up to my empty, lonely house, I felt a little safer. That was a big mistake on my part. I drank a cup of water from my kitchen and then went to my room, quickly finishing my homework, as it was extremely easy.

As I was putting my chemistry notebook away, I remembered the sticky note placed on the back reading, "Call me! 507-855-5587-Goldie". I dialed the number and heard an, "Oh!" and some things clattering around in the background. Seemed surprised to hear my voice, so I assumed that she didn't get calls very often. We talked for a bit and she told me about a dark guy trying to take her somewhere. Sounded bad but, I thought nothing of it.

We then hung up and suddenly I felt woozy...a feeling I had definitely felt before. "The water..." I managed to say as I realized that I had been drugged. I then fell to only see a shadow over me, then picking me up as I was completely knocked out.
