Chapter 7

At night, Ragini was sitting in her room. Meanwhile Nakul came there and saw her lost in her thoughts. He went to her.

"Ragini"...He called her politely.

But there was no response from her side.

"Ragini"...He once again called her while waving his hands in front of her eyes.

Still there was no response from her side. Now, he was a little irritated. He leaned near her ears.

"Ragini...Back to earth"...He shouted making her startled.

Ragini looked at him with an annoyed face.

"Kya hai?...Chilla kyun rahe ho, sun sakti hoon main"...She shouted in irritation.

"Sun sakti ho to ab tak kuchh bola kyun nahin?"...Nakul asked her while rolling his eyes in annoyance.

Ragini: Wo main...Main kuchh soch rahi thi.

"Haan kabhi kabhi ye kaam bhi karna chahiye"...Nakul said jokingly.

Ragini rolled her eyes and looked to the other side in irritation.

"Achchha baba main mazaak nahin karoonga"...Nakul said after coming in front of her.

She looked at him and while he smiled and sat beside her.

Ab batao kya soch rahi thi tum?"...He asked.

"Kya main Kavin ko jaanti hoon?...I mean kya hum pehle kabhi mile hain?"...Ragini asked straightforwardly while looking at him.

Nakul became surprised as well as confused with her sudden question.

"Are Ragini tum use kaise jaan sakti ho, hum to yahan se pehle London mein the na...So how can you know him?"...He still managed to reply back.

Ragini: Haan...Lekin jab hum...

"Ragini ye sab baatein baad mein...Tum jao jaldi se ready ho jao, saare guests aa gaye hain. Aur sab sirf tumhare baare mein hi puchh rahe hain"...Nakul said while interrupting her in the middle.

"Tum jao...Main thodi der mein aati hoon"...She said with a smile.

"Okay"...Nakul said before leaving the room.

Ragini smiled and closed the door. She went to change her clothes.

Here, ACP Pradyuman was talking to his friends and colleagues. Nakul too came and stood beside him.

"Ragini kahan hai beta?"...ACP Pradyuman asked Nakul while looking around.

Nakul: Papa wo ready ho rahi hai...Bas thodi der mein aa jaayegi.

ACP Pradyuman nodded. He again got busy with his friends and colleagues.

After sometime, Ragini came out of her room and looked downstairs.

"Look there's the birthday girl"...Shreya said and smiled while looking at her.

Everyone over there started clapping and cheering for Ragini. She was dressed up in a black anarkali having golden embroidery and a black net dupatta. Her long hairs swung through her shoulders to her waist. Her long chained golden earrings matched her dress completely just as her strawberry pink lipstick and her black eyeliner did her complexion. She smiled nervously while looking at all of them and slowly climbed down the stairs.

ACP Pradyuman moved near her and brought her near the CID team while Nakul moved in the middle of the hall. He took a mic and looked around while smiling.
