Chapter 9 : Chemical Reaction.

The mysterious man lifted his staff and knocked it against the floor 3 times and a hologram hovered above the green glowing sphere, and then he spoke "What you see here within this hologram is a new piece of technology  that we've been developing for a very long time, its purpose is to open a doorway to an unseen but ever so present world. But due to the lack of a certain chemical it takes to run the machine we've never been able to turn it on, until now that is."
I looked at him confused "lack of a certain chemical?" i thought to myself. I dont have any chemicals with me, so I don't know what you're talking about I replied.
He looked at me with an eerie sinister smile and said "oh but you due my dear." He continued to explain; "A long time ago we came across your planet and the many species that inhabit it, among those species we became particularly interested in your kind. You see, the human brain creates consciousness by releasing chemicals that only the brain can produce, this mixture of chemicals produce everything you've ever experienced before in your life, including this moment right now. But the chemicals that created this experience for you now are a special blend of chemicals that up until now have been only thought to exist.
Somehow you've unknowingly accessed the ability to produce these chemicals, the connection between you and Caine was so deep that it pushed you to find a way, and since you were willing and believed you could, you did.
The experience you call dreaming exists just as the world you experience when you're awake, but as you are now aware there are more "experiences" the mind can create, for example the experience you're having now. Look at it like this, your body only exists to house the mind, but your experiences come from the mind and not the body, so even without the body, as long as the mind had a vessel to keep it sustained you would still have experiences. Pain, fear, hunger, the will to survive, are all mechanisms provided by the brain so that it can survive for as long as possible. Your brain is alive, and everything your body is exists to feed it, to keep it alive my dear.
Your mind has broke through a new barrier, and we need to harvest the chemicals being produced.
There are more worlds that exist beyond this one, just as this one exists beyond yours, once you realize this you begin to become in control of which world you want to experience, at the same time you become aware of yourself and realize the world is infinite with infinite possibilities.
I knew if i told caine to leave you he would do everything in his power to bring you here, remember when he told you your frequency color was pink? Well that was the first we had ever seen, so we sent Caine to invade your dreams and get you to fall in love so you'd pursue a way to find him. When your mind started producing the chemicals, it wasnt our technology that brought you here my dear, it was you, you brought yourself here."
