I grin as our daughter wraps her daddy round her little finger, she had it down to pat, the finger in her curls twisting her hair as she flutters her eyes up at him.
I heard Jack's groan and Hadley's whoop of joy and knew he had caved.
"Ssh" I warned them as they both as Hadley rushes towards me, Jack following her.

"Is he sleeping mommy?" Hadley whispered loudly, climbing up and peering down at Jonah, her hand sneaking forward to stroke his blond curls.
I watched her carefully, she preferred her brother awake then she could make as much noise as she felt necessary and would poke him to get what she wanted.
"Why are you looking so pleased with yourself?" I ask her, already knowing but waiting for her to tell me her news.
"Daddy said I can have a dog, a puppy like John and Jack got, they can be friends and we can all play together" she told me and I grinned at her. It had been the end of the world according to Hadley when her cousins had got their puppy, since then she had been on a non stop mission to get us to agree to her having one too.
She spent as much free time as possible at their house and was teaching them how to look after it, based on what she had learned herself. Jack and John had given up arguing with her and she used her two months seniority over them to win most arguments.
"And what will you call your puppy?"
"Lilo" she replied instantly and we both laughed, she had been ready with all the information.
"Good, that will go well with Stitch" I laugh.

I smile up at Jack, wondering how we got here, the years seem to have flown by since we had Hadley, and I felt fortunate that our little family had just grown with Jonah's arrival, Though i think Jack had a competition going with Beau as it was only a few months before Jonah came that Anni had given birth to her second set of twins Jeremy and Julian and I wondered how long it would be before she was pregnant again, as I know Trent was desperate for them to have a little girl of their own.  For some strange reason they seemed to believe Hadley was an angel, and they wanted one too... they would learn.

Anni and her boys were frequent visitors, and at times we seemed to spend all our time together, especially when Hadley had the choice, at their place she had a pull out bed in the boys room and a draw full of clothes in their closet.  At our house we had a spare room with twin beds that linked through a bathroom to the main guest room.
"What are you thinking?" He questioned sliding into the seat next to me and wrapping an arm around my shoulders, his free hand coming up to brush a finger over his sons cheek.
"How lucky we are" I reply, leaning into him, careful not to wake Jonah.
His lips turned up before finding mine, his kiss reminding me my six weeks were up and we could resume normal activities.
My eyes were glazed when he pulled back, "I think Hadley would love to share her news with her cousins, maybe have a sleepover" he suggested quietly in my ear and I felt my pulse speed up in anticipation of his suggestion before reality hit.
"Is it too much to ask, with the twins so young?"
"Trust me, they will thank us, Hadley will sort out the boys and the dog, while they watch and relax." He laughed.
I nod my agreement, adding "Only if Anni agrees"
Jack grinned again, "That's good then, I asked earlier and she agreed, Mav is going to pick her up when he picks the boys up from football."
"You sneaky man" I scold with my own grin breaking "Have I told you how much I love you" I whisper against his lips.
"Every day and I love you to, my Flower" he kisses me again, until Hadley pushes between us, poking her brother in the process and waking him up.
I exchange a wry look with Jack who reluctantly pulls back, before distracting Hadley, whilst I fed a hungry Jonah and relaxed looking forward to our evening, knowing this was our life and we were blessed.

The End.
