Rainey's POV

"Rain!" Andy called, skipping towards me with a happy smile on his face. School had ended now, it had been hours since lunch and I had so many questions that remained unanswered and most probably would be unanswered until tomorrows reveal.

"Hey, A!" I smile. "You ready for the ride?" Andy nods with pure excitement radiating off him. I loved it when he was happy, something within me truly craved his happiness and safety. That thing was Skye and her weird werewolf pack bond stuff.

I guide Andy away from the school and a little into the forest, since people here are also werewolves I'm sure they'll pay less attention to me than in previous towns. Still, as I change I feel the familiar stream of electricity flow through my body as all my bones break and crack into their new position. I feel my wings escape their prison and immediately relax. I can technically bring my wings out in human form, I have before by accident of course, but it takes a lot of energy to put them back and can also be painful. It took a look of concentration but after a while, it got easier to hide them. I feel my senses sharpen, I can see the dust in the air, hear the tires of cars on the road, I can taste the sweet smell of grass and leaves that surround us. I loved the feeling of shifting, the first few times I shifted it was painful, really painful and I didn't know what I was doing. But now it felt normal, natural even. It was a phenomenal feeling that I wouldn't trade. I lay down on the grass at our feet and Andy carefully slides on, being sure not to touch my wings, when I feel his soft grip on my fur I let Skye take over. Skye swishes elegantly through trees and past bushes, following the sweet scent of Mary to our new house. Skye was only running at only half her normal speed to make sure that Andy is safe and doesn't fall at all, but even still the feelings are sensational. When we have to stop, to shift back, Skye lays down and Andy slides off.

"I'll go get your clothes." Andy smiles, knowing the drill as he runs the short distance left to the house. An amazing scent passes us and Skye craves to follow it, both of us are curious about where the beautiful smell is coming from. When Skye attempts to fun and finds it I regain control of our body. We couldn't go after the scent, the longer we spent in wolf form the more likely it would be that we're seen and have to move again. I can't do that to my family, my pack.

Soon Andy comes back and all thoughts of following the heavenly scent are forgotten as Andy places the clothes in front of me before walking back to the house. I know that I'll have to put some clothes outside behind trees and such for when I go on runs or run Andy home. I've always done it. Once I'm dressed in the provided clothes, that do not go together at all, I walk the short distance to the house. Mary's face lights up when she sees me.

"How was school Rain?" Mary asks with her usual bright smile.

"I made a friend," I say with a shrug. "I need to tell you something. There are other werewolves in this town, I'm guessing most people are werewolves like me. But I promise I will keep us safe, and the alpha seems to like me so it should mean we get to stay. No matter what you and Andy will be protected." I say, Skye comes out by the end and I know my eyes will be glowing purple and since the contacts were taken out when I shifted nothing is hiding the purple in my eyes.

"Okay." Mary sighs. "As long as Andy is safe."

"You are a part of my pack." I feel Skye say, she's fully in control now. "I protect everyone in my pack."

"I know you do Skye, but prior-" Mary starts but soon stops when Skye lets out a growl. Mary knows it's best to just agree at this point. Angry Skye is not a nice Skye. I bet she'll still rant in my head about how Mary shouldn't look down on herself. Mary saved me, while I was in wolf form and instead of freaking out when I shifted back she took me in, despite already having a child of her own. That makes her better than most humans and probably even wolves.

"Sorry, Ma." I frown. "I can't always keep her in." I frown. Mary loves Skye as much as she loves me but she doesn't always like when Skye goes all - as she calls it - Alpha on her. Skye being 'Alpha' can be scary.

"It's okay Rain. Can you help me make dinner?" She asks, I nod happily. Andy has already taken my bag upstairs as he normally does so now Mary and I make our way to the kitchen. We have fun cooking together, it was a routine and tradition for us to cook together.

'Who's scent was that?' Skye asks for the one million and one times, referring to the scent in the woods earlier.

'Forget about it.' I tell her, she just shakes her head and continues her rant while pacing in my head.
