Somehow I had convinced Van to spend the night with me.Since she didn't have work in the morning, and I didn't want her to leave me,she agreed.

I held her close to me in my bed with Dodger at our feet.

"Mm."She groaned and moved slightly in her sleep

We didn't end up ruining my couch.We made out for a little bit before Dodger cock blocked me with his barking.

I kissed her head and rubbed her back to help her settle back to sleep.

"Chris?"She said lowly

"What's wrong?"I asked her

"Nothing..I just- forgot where I was."She giggled sleepily

I smiled at her."I've got you."

"Why are you awake?"She asked

"I dunno.Can't sleep."I told her

"Mm."She hummed and started to run her hands through my hair

I sighed in delight.

"Can I take you on a date tomorrow Evans?"She asked me

I smiled at her."Yes ma'am.You can."

"I wanna cook for you..we can stay in."She said

"Mm.I can't say no to that."I kissed her head

She smiled.

"Try and sleep?"She said

I nodded and closed my eyes with a sigh.

When I woke up again it was 9 am.I groaned and looked over at Vanessa who was still sleeping.

I got up and went into the bathroom to shower and brush my teeth.Once I was done, I left her towels and a toothbrush.

I walked in the bedroom as she started to wake up.

"Good morning."I said

"Good morning."She smiled

"I left you a toothbrush and some towels oh and here.There's a shirt and some pants."I said

"Thank you."

I nodded."Im gonna go walk and feed Dodger then we can make some breakfast?"

She nodded."That sounds good."

While Vanessa took her time freshening up, Chris took Dodger out for a quick run.

"So what do you think about Van?"He asked his pup

Dodger wagged his little tail at his daddy's voice.

Chris chuckled."Good.I like her too.I think we should keep her."

When they got back inside, Chris fed his dog and then started to make breakfast.Vanessa came downstairs soon after that in Chris's oversized tee shirt and sweatpants.

"Ah.Adorable."Chris smiled and pecked her lips

She shyly smiled."What do we have going on in here?"

"Pancakes,eggs and bacon."He told her

"Okay.Do you want some help?"She asked him

"No no.Go sit down.I got this."He told her

She chuckled."Okayy."

She sat down at the bar in front of him and watched him cook breakfast.

In her eyes, she was so lucky.He's so..perfect.Everything she wanted in a partner, he was.
