3. AWKWARDNESS

Thank you everyone for all the votes. I am very glad. I hope you all like this chapter too.

Siddharth was very much impressed with Avneet's presentation. Afterall, Avneet is so talented. Any help from her would mean getting a very nice score in the subject but yeah along with a little effort from the person. She is a very helpful person and never takes her step back when it comes to helping someone. Siddharth was also in need of her help. And before Siddharth could ask her anything she starts leaving getting pissed over Reem and Bhavesh. Suddenly, Siddharth held her hand. 

It happens many times that all of sudden when you want to call a person, his/her name does not strike you. This is exactly what happened with Siddharth. Rushing to stop her, he holds her by her hand. They both have a 5 second eye contact, which gets broken by the noise around, leading to an awkward silence between both of them. 

Sid : Ahh, I am sorry.

Avneet : .....It...It is okay.... What happened?

Sid : I actually wanted to take your number, like if I have any doubt... Only if you have no problem.

Avneet : Yeah, sure.

Avneet gives her number to Siddharth and leaves. She doesn't utter a word which leaves Sid in more awkwardness. Just then Bhavesh and Reem come.

Bhavesh : What happened Sid?

Sid : I held her hand.. I didn't want to. Actually I...

Bhavesh : (interrupts) No need to explain Sid. That's okay.

Sid : It is so weird. It's not even half a day that I met her and I held her hand. I wanted her number and suddenly her name just went off my mind. I don't know what she must have thought about me.

Reem : It's okay Siddharth. She doesn't judge anyone in one go. So just relax.

Bhavesh leaves for his class and Reem and Siddharth to theirs. But, Sid was still thinking about the same thing. Maybe, that's natural because no one would want their first impression to be a wrong one. Reem looks at him and notices that weird expression on his face.

Reem : Heyy!! Are you okay?

Sid : Yeah.. I am fine.

Reem : So Siddharth, what made you shift to this college in middle of the semester?

Sid : Actually, the college in which I previously studied was shut due to some financial issues. So, all the students were shifted to another branch. But, I applied for the scholarship here and scored very well. So, I am here.

Reem : Ohh.. That's great!! That means you come under the topper batch..(laughs).

Siddharth laughs too. They reach the class. And Siddharth being a studious boy sits in the first bench. 

Reem : Heyy!! I know you are a topper.. but common yarr this is not a school. Come join us.

Reem invited Sid to sit with them unaware of the awkwardness both were facing. 

Wait... Why both?? Siddharth because he held her hand. And Avneet because Reem confesses infront of Sid that Avneet has seen him somewhere.. What a cheesy line it was..haha

There were four people sitting in the bench. And the order goes like this Amey, Reem, Avneet, Siddharth. There was silence between them which Reem was not able to figure out.

So guys, Amey Pandya is a new character with minimal role right now. He is a silent boy who speaks to very few people including Avneet and Reem.

Reem : Why are you guys so silent?

Siddharth, scrolling memes in his phone still stays silent while, Avneet glares at Reem. Unable to get on with this awkwardness, Sid goes out saying...

Sid : I will be back.

Reem : What's wrong Avneet?  Why are you behaving like this? He was already feeling very awkward and your behaviour increased it.

Avneet : Because I was feeling awkward. Why did you tell him that I think I have seen him somewhere? You know how cheesy that was... Oh wait!! What did you just say? Why was he feeling awkward?

Reem : Omg, you are still stuck at that. Common Avneet.. It was just a joke.

Avneet : That is okay.. But why was he feeling awkward?

Reem : He held your hand in the corridoor naa.. So, he thinks you would judge him ?

Avneet : Arey..He thinks like that. I should talk to him once right...??

Reem : Yup, I think you should.

Siddharth comes back to the classroom. Avneet was about to talk to him when the professor comes. That was a very bad timing isn't it??
