Chapter 14-Where are we?

Hours have passed by quickly. It was already morning. Although it didn't feel like it because the sun was dimming each and every day. It was a cold morning. With a windy breeze and the worst part was Tedros and Sophie barely had anything to keep them warm.

Sophie was worse, she didn't want to wear the capes. She said they were too out of style and that they were ugly. So she just stayed in her black lace dress. (Rafal gave it to her when she was at the schools.)

The wind was coming more stronger. It could even knock down a tree if it wanted to.

Tedros meanwhile turned to Sophie who was behind him and Merlin. He didn't look into her eyes.

"I still don't understand why you don't want to destroy the ring," Tedros said. He held excalibur tight.

"And I don't understand why it's so important to you," Sophie fought.

This made Tedros mad. His cheeks were now boiling red."Maybe it's so important to me because there are people dying because of that ring and clearly you don't care about others lives. You only care about yours because to you, your life is way more important than the hero's that are dying because of you!"

Sophie glared at him. Wanting to say something back."Teddy don't you understand,"
she exhaled thinking if it was the right thing to say."Those people that are dying are old, their life is just about to be over. My life just started, i still have years to go so obviously i care about my life more than those other people."

Tedros lit is finger glow. Finger glows follow emotions so his finger was glowing bright golden. It was so bright it would have made someone go blind.

Sophie slightly covered her eyes.

Tedros pointed his finger straight to Sophie neck. This made her nervous.

"Listen her you little witch," Tedros yelled."You will destroy that ring once we find Agatha. Am I clear?"

Sophie didn't respond.

"I SAID AM I CLEAR," Tedros screamed.

Still she didn't respond.

Then in a quick second Sophie's finger glow turned hot pink. It wasn't as bright as Tedros glow but it sure was bright. Slowly Tedros backed away from her.

"No you listen to me, i'll destroy the ring when I want am I clear?" Sophie yelled.

Then a shot of gold shooted Sophie and made her fall back. She landed on her butt which made her dress dirty.

"How many times are the both of you going to fight until you learn what's more important!"

Both Sophie and Tedros turned to see Merlin who had his arms crossed. He looked furious as if he wanted to just leave the kids alone and go on his own way.

"The both of you need to GROW UP!" Merlin shouted."Tedros you will be king in a couple of weeks and Sophie, goodness I don't know."

"Why did you hit me instead of Tedros," Sophie complained.

"Because he is more mature than you," Merlin hissed."Now the both of you follow me."

Merlin took them to someone far. They walked for hours. They were cold and tried.

Finally they reached somewhere. There was snow everywhere which made them more cold.

There were big golden gates. Which Merlin opened them with his wand. Once they entered Merlin took them to the big lake. He was walking so fast Tedros and Sophie couldn't keep up. As they were walking Tedros felt like he has been here.

"Merlin where are we," Tedros asked.

"This is Avalon," Merlin responded.

"But why are we in-" but before Tedros could finish his sentence the lake started to shake. As if an earthquake was happening.

Suddenly a beautiful woman appeared from the waters and she looked at Merlin then at Tedros and Sophie and smiled.

It's the lady of the lake! Tedros thought. My father used to tell me stories about her.

"Its good to see you again Merlin," said the lady of the lake to Merlin.

"Yes it is now do you know what i'm here for," Merlin asked.

"I sure do," the lady of the lake said, the she started a whirlpool. The whirlpool was spinning fast, really fast.

Then in a flash the water turned into a shape of a hand a grabbed Tedros, Sophie, and Merlin and they went inside the lake.

The three of them were falling down and down. The deeper they went the more light they could see.

It reminded Tedros of the story called "Alice in Wonderland."

I wonder if she's still alive, he thought.

The finally they reached land. They fell face front except for Merlin, he landed on his feet.

Tedros and Sophie quickly got up and looked for their surroundings.

"Teddy.....where are we," Sophie said softly.

They both noticed that there was sun. Which was strange because a minute ago there was no sun at all.

This is strange, Tedros thought.

"Well then children, find out who's here," Merlin said."I'll be back."

"Wait no Merlin don't go," Tedros yelled. But it was too late. Merlin was already king gone.

Great, just great, Tedros sighed.
