Chapter 1

"WE'RE WHAT?!?" I yelled

"We are moving, Alisha, calm down, it's not that bad, you'll love it out there" my mom said.

"Mom, what's wrong with where we are now. I'm just starting to be comfortable with the kids out here."

"We lived here for 5 years. How are you just now getting comfortable?" She looked at me with a confused look.

"That's not the point, I don't want to move! Why do we have to?"

"Think of this as a fresh new start and besides it's not like we are moving to a different state. It's just a few hours away and you can still visit your friends"

"I guess mom" I said, rolling my eyes and walking up the stairs towards my room. Walking into my room I jump on my bed, laying down thinking. After a few moments I turned off my light and fell asleep.

* The next day *

My mom drops me off at school and I take out my earbuds and start making my way to the tables to meet my friends. Walked up to our table and said 'hi' giving everyone a hug. We chat for a while and eventually get up to walk around campus. While walking my friend Nika starts up a conversation with me.

"So Alisha what's new , you've been quiet all morning. Is something wrong? "

"I'm moving" I said

" YOU'RE WHAT?" Nika yelled

"Was it really necessary to fucking yell!" I hissed at her, " Yes , my mom told me last night that we are moving to San Diego." I explained.

" You can't move what am I going to do without you here." She whined

"I kn-" BING! BING! BING! The school bell rang." I'll talk to you at lunch I got to get to class , bye" I waved at her and made my way to class. Getting to my first period I took a seat at my desk and waited for the teacher to walk in.

"This move better be worth it" I huffed and then the teacher walked in.

"Okay class everyone take out the homework I assigned last night and pass it forward "

"Great" I mumbled while rolling my eyes.

* Lunch *

Finally it's lunch time. I make my way over to my friends. " Hey , Alisha," everyone greets me.

"Did you guys hear that Thomas and Anthony got into a fight in class 3rd period. " Maddy said.

"Really, is there a video?" Nat asked. Maddy pulled out her phone and showed us the video. Thomas was on top of Anthony and punched him multiple times. The teacher ended up breaking up the fight. And right on cue Thomas walked into the cafeteria. Everyone stopped what they were doing and stared while he made his way to me.

"Hey babes!" He said to me, hugging me from behind holding my waist as I leaned into him. No, he is not my boyfriend before you start assuming. He is my best friend, like literally the male version of me.

"Why do you always have to get in some type of trouble Thomas?" I asked him.

"It wasn't my fault the guy was throwing paper at this nerdy girl, so I took it upon myself to help her" he explained.

Rolling my eyes and turning towards him "That doesn't mean you have to use violence"

"You know bad boys are always sexy" He put his hands on my hips and pulled me against him.

"Ew be stopped " I said, pushing him back by his forehead. He let go of me and we sat at the table with the others.

"So when were you planning on telling us you were moving 'isha? " Maddy said with a frown. I look over at Nika with a 'really bitch ' face , she just finished eating her food.
