Chapter Two: Patrolling With Hawks

I woke up and sighed looking over at the picture I had of me and Romeo on my nightstand how can I consider myself a Pro hero if I can't even
get over some stupid divorce every
part of me knew it
wasn't going
to work
but being the stupid person I am I still stayed with him I thought as I started to cry again when I heard the door open and I quickly wiped my eyes Romeo
what's wrong your up a little early
I said getting up from the bed and walked over to him and got on my knees and placed my hands on his cheeks I had a nightmare
Mama he said burrying his
face into my chest
"don't worry
it was just a nightmare
it wasn't real" I said,
kissing his forehead come on let's go eat breakfast I said taking Romeo's hand and we walked down the stairs
and I sat Romeo down on the
counter and he watched
me cook so do you have work today mama Romeo asked I'm a hero baby boy i always end up having work one way or another i said
scooping some eggs onto a plate for him oh Romeo said a little disappointed Mama he asked crawling on the counter over to me are you gonna
be working with Mr. Birdie
man Romeo asked pulling on the oversized t-shirt I was wearing

Romeo said with a smile "hey don't be hiding things from me" I said, with a smile as I started to tickle him making him laugh out loud okay I'm gonna go get changed real quick I said running upstairs and grabbing my hero
costume and packed some extra
clothes into my back
pack "okay all set" I said, as I picked up my bag and walked out of my room to see Romeo standing there already dressed with shoes in hand "where
do you think your going

said carrying him down the
stairs that's okay mama I can stay with Auntie May since she was your former sidekick Romeo said fine you can come I said as we walked out the
door and went to meet with
the other heros when I came
upon the building
everyone would be
meeting at and I was about to walk inside hey Mama look it's Mr. Birdie Romeo yelled pointing up to the sky to see him land in front of us hm looks like we meet again Baby bird he said with a cocky smirk as he looked at me seems so I said pushing some of my
hair behind my ear "KANO" May
yelled, running up to us.

(Hawk's P.o.v)
I was making my way to the Pro-Hero Meeting when I noticed that young women from yesterday standing
outside the building
and I flew down and landed in front of her hm looks like we meet again Baby bird I said with a cocky smirk seems so she said pushing some of her hair behind her "KANO" a girl yelled,
running up to her "oh May"
she said, as the girl ran up
and hugged her "I'm
so sorry I'm late
Kano" the girl said, your fine
she said when the girl noticed me standing next to her "ah
your Hawks Kano
what have you been doing" she
said, looking at her "I don't know
what you mean" she said,
and I smirked at her
Auntie May the kid yelled "hey

taking him from her "is it really okay
for me to leave him with you May" she asked, of course what kind of Aunt would I be if I refused to watch
nephew the other girl said thanks
May and I'll see you later
she said kissing him
on the forehead and waved goodbye to them then she turned to me are you ready to go inside she asked hm I nodded the smile never
leaving my face
as I opened the door for her

opened and we

down to the meeting room to see every other hero there already ah Trixx

taking a seat next to me
and we started the meeting "okay
so it's agreed Trixx you will be patrolling with Hawks alright" they
said, and she nodded her
head I'm gonna go
get changed real quick she
said to me
as she went down to the
bathroom you like her

appeared next to me with Mt. Lady

pretty cute" I said, with a sly

sure you don't hurt her
she's still a little sensitive
from the divorce"

and the rest of the guys faces
turned red as we stared at her

lips as I looked up

said with a smile o-oh she said shyly then we both left the building
and I walked with her as
we patrolled a part of town "so kid how old are you" I asked, I'm twenty
she said and I looked at her

do stupid things

as she looked up into the sky when I suddenly took a hold of her
hand and turned her around to
face me and she looked up at me
as her face turned a light pink "i-i-is something wrong" she

me she said punching me
gently in the arm
and I chuckled at her reaction
as we continued to walk through
town when we heard some
one scream and we both ran
to see what was
happening to see
a group of villains
attacking people
when I noticed
from the corner of my
eye that Kano was
glowing as nine
light pink
tails sprouted out from her and two ears popped out from her head and she took a deep breath as steam
escaped her mouth and took
off running toward the villians
and smirked as I
went to go help her
out but as i
was fighting I noticed two
of the villians trying to sneak up
on her and grabbed
her by one
of her tails making her
quirk come to a stop
while the other one
tried to attack
her you two should be
ashamed of your self
ganging up on a girl
like that exspellily one that can easily kick your asses I said swooping in and kicking that one that had there hand on one of her tails in the side
causing him to let go of her as
her quirk started back
up again and man
did she look mad as she kicked the guy in the face and I flew down next to her look out she said pushing me to the side "FOX FIRE" she yelled, as a blast
of blue fire shot from her
hand knocking out the villian "are
you okay" she asked, running over to
me yeah thanks for that baby
bird I said scratching the back
of my neck with a small
smirk on my face so
do you think that's all of them she asked I think so kid I said as we watched the police take them
away "thanks for the assistance
Hawk's and Trixx" the
officer said, before walking away
guess we should head back
then I said wait Hawks I
heard her say yeah I said turning to her "thanks for what you said earlier it was sweet" she said, with a soft smile I was just telling the truth I said smiling
back her but still thank you she
said as we walked back
to the building we had the
meeting at and I stood next to her as she waited for May to bring Romeo back to her when a car pulled up
and Romeo jumped out Mama I saw you on TV you were so cool he said hugging her leg thanks Romeo she
said picking him up um so
would you like to have dinner with us Kano asked and i looked at her with a smile i-i-i mean you d-d-d-don't have
to if you don't want to she stuttered "sure Baby bird what time
should I fly over" I asked, how
about 4:30 she said
got it it see ya
later then baby bird I said flying away.

I can't believe I just asked him
to come over and he said yes
I thought as me and Romeo
walked into the house yay
Mr. Birdie is coming
over Romeo said
running around the house okay
instead of running around why
don't you go get your pj's on I
said as I walked into the kitchen "okay mama" he said, running
up to his room while I made dinner
man maybe I should have asked him what he liked I thought as I got some ingredients out of the fridge I guess chicken will have to do I
thought as I started to make
dinner "and done" I
said, as I brought every
thing to the
table okay now
I just need to
get changed
I thought as I walked up
stairs and into my room to
put something comfy on since
were just eating
dinner here
then walked back into
the kitchen and jumped on
to the counter and sat there in
a t-shirt with the words
BNA on it and a pair
of black shorts on as i
pulled one leg up to my
chest when I heard
someone knocking on
the window that's weird I thought walking over to the window and pulled back the curtains to see Hawks floating there with a smile on his face have you
never heard of a door I
asked opening the window
for him nope don't think I have baby bird he said with a smirk as his eyes shifted to what I wearing you look comfortable baby bird he with a smile yeah sorry I promised Romeo that whenever I'm able to get off work early we would have a pajama day but I can go change if it makes you uncomfortable I said no, no

would look great in any
thing really he

me and tell him that dinners ready"
I said, sure kid he said going
up the stairs.

I walked up the stairs to get Romeo when I noticed the pictures on the
wall they were all of her and Romeo when I noticed a door that

and I pushed the door opened to
see the kid sitting there on the
floor watching a recording of
something when his ears
twitched and he
looked at me he had been
crying so he quickly wiped his
eyes watcha watching kid I asked sitting down next to him videos of mommy he said turning back to the
tv when she appeared
on the screen "hey Kano
say a few words to
the camera" the person
filming her
said, um i don't know
I'm nervous what
should I say she
said with a small smile "any
thing Kano" they
said, um okay
well I guess um I'm
pregnant she said

they said "okay uh
I hope it's
not a seasection cause those are pretty painful" she said, how do you even
know that the person holding the camera said "I read
about it" she said, I feel like your way more paranoid when your
pregnant they said "just

mind eating dinner without me
I have to go to the bathroom real
quick she said about to walk out the room when I grabbed her hand and she looked at me with tears welling up in her eyes I'm sorry she said crying in

bird it's okay I said rubbing her back he left me and Romeo, he left me when
I needed him most she said gripping onto my shirt mama I'm sorry Romeo said hugging her leg it's okay baby she said picking him up "um
we should go eat
dinner before it gets cold" she
said, wiping her eyes as we
all walked downstairs and
sat down at the table
um I hope you like chicken she
said and I smiled at her it's my favorite baby bird I said as we started to eat dinner thats good she said as we finished eating dinner then it was time for me to leave thanks
again for coming
over Hawks I think Romeo
had fun she said leaning
against the door "don't
mention it baby bird see you tomorrow kid" I said, flying
off.

I sighed walking up the stairs to my room and plopped down on my
bed and started to drift off to
sleep when Hawks popped
into my head why
did he pop into my
head I thought
as I rolled over to my
side and slowly
drifted off to
sleep.
