"Today we will be learning how to make the potion called Amortentia." Slughorn spoke, signaling the start of class.

"Y/L/N, looks like you'll be wanting to pay attention." Draco spoke in a hushed tone, nudging your shoulder slightly.

Rolling your eyes you shook your head. "Shut it, Malfoy or you'll only have Crab and Goyle as friends."

"Ouch." He teased, placing a hand over his heart. "That one hurt."

"Mister Malfoy." Slughorn spoke. "Since you are a chatty Kathy today."

The classroom erupted in giggles.

"Name two ingredients of Amortentia." He spat, standing at your table with his arms behind his back.

"Uh." Draco's face started turning a bright red color, as he glanced around seeing the eyes of everyone of his classmates.

"Pearl dust." You whispered.

"Pearl dust." Draco repeated louder, sneaking a glance at Slughorn to see him nodd.

"Peppermint." You fake coughed attempting to cover it up.

"And Peppermint." Draco spoke.

"Very good, Mister Malfoy." He nodded. "It would be in your best interest to pay attention to the class, and not Miss Y/L/N all period."

"Thanks." He muttered, turning towards you in embarrassment.

"Of course." You nodded. "Besides, what're friends for." You spoke, turning back towards your notes, attempting to pay attention in class.

"We're friends?" Draco whispered in disbelief.

Turning towards the blonde headed boy, you gazed at him with widened eyes. "Well...I...I thought we were?"

"Right. Of course." He nodded, averting his gaze towards the front of the classroom.

Shortly, there after you couldn't fight the small smile that made it's way to your lips.

"You're not as bad as everyone says, Malfoy." You muttered. "Not a bad Slytherin at all."

"You're not too bad yourself, for a Ravenclaw." He nudged your shoulder.

After he nudged your shoulder, neither one of you dared to remove yourself from the other. The rest of the class was spent, sitting impossibly close to Draco.

"Class dismissed." Slughorn called.

Gathering your items, you exited the classroom.

"Y/L/N!" Draco called, jogging to catch up to you.
