We walk towards the house me groaning and Abby jumping on the balls of her feet. I guess someone had a good first day of school while I sat in class listening to teachers droning about how our sophomore year won't be as easy our freshman year and blah, blah, blah. The only good thing about today was we got no homework so right now I'm just going to meet my best friend AKA my bed and sleep.

Our dad is waiting for us at the other side of the door and we jump on him while he laughs.

Some facts about my dad: He's huge, like 6'5 huge, he goes to a gym 4 times per week, he's 47 but he doesn't look a day over 30 and is really handsome –the female teachers even the married ones are always fawning around my married father– and the fact that annoys us the most is that he never falls down.

It's an unspoken deal between me, Abby and Daniel to jump on dad whenever we see him but he doesn't fall.

Even Daniel still does it and he weighs over 150lb but my dad still won't fall and when three of us jump on him together he only staggers a bit and it's annoying.

"I brought gifts for you girls." He says.

"Presents!" I scream and run into the living room while Abby squeals.

I see some bags on the table and immediately run towards them and Abby follows and wait for our dad to walk into the living room.

We see him walking at a snail's pace trying to frustrate us and I groan and lie flat on the chair while Abby whines and he just continues walking slowly while laughing at us because he knows how impatient we are when it comes to presents.

He finally sits down and shows us shares the gifts –we would have opened them already but we had no idea whose was whose– and we open them.

I got a lot of books –I'm a bookworm, sue me– and some souvenirs from where dad went as my gifts because that's all I need right now while Abby got clothes, jewelry and other girly items.

I'm not going to say I don't like dressing up because I do but I don't mind wearing anything last season as long as it's comfortable and if I'm getting new clothes, shoes, accessories, makeup or body products mom does that for me because she has an amazing fashion sense and loves giving us those type of stuff so I'm not really concerned about it.

After hugging dad, asking about mom –she wasn't around because she was at her company working, she has her own fashion line– and kissing Kiara on the forehead because she was sleeping I ran to my room to start reading or taking a nap whichever comes first.

I changed into one of Daniel's t-shirts –his clothes are huge and comfy– and some shorts and start reading but some minutes later my tiredness wins and I drop my book and take a nap.

I wake up and look at my clock to see it's already 6pm and I stand up and go to the bathroom to brush my teeth and sprinkle some water on my face then I walk to the living room.

Dad and mom are on phone calls –probably about work– while Abby sits on the couch playing with Kiara.

I go into the kitchen and search the fridge for something to eat and I see the lasagna we ate for dinner last night so I heat it up and walk into the dining room with my prize.

As I eat I feel some little hands dragging my leg and I look down to see Kiara. I pick her up and she giggles then start blubbering her baby language.

"Who's the cutest little princess ever? You are, yes you are." I say and start tickling her while she squeals in excitement.

I continue eating while Kiara sits in my lap and plays with my necklace.

When I finish eating I drop my plate in the kitchen and walk to the living room and Abby tells me about her day while Kiara sits between both of us playing with her toys.

It becomes 9pm and I put Kiara to sleep and walk to my room to get ready for bed and for the first time in some weeks I can't sleep.

I roll around on my bed for a few minutes before I decide to find something else to do namely, reading.

"Never in my life have I seen a person as oblivious as Percy! Everyone but him knows Annabeth likes him!" I scream in annoyance as I read Percy Jackson for the tenth time.

I throw the book down and scan my bookshelf for something else to read but nothing really interests this evening so I decided to go to my second option: Netflix.

I watch anything and everything there before falling asleep in between the movie I was watching.
