As we entered the throne room, I noticed the beauty of it. It was a brighter round room. It had a few long, thin window slits shining sunlight onto the floor. There were 3 thrones and a drain. Most likely for blood. The guard who was in the room were chatting. Then I noticed Aro.
"Jane, dear one, you've returned!" He cried in delight.
"Yes, master." Jane smiled. "I brought him back alive, just as you wished."
"Ah, Jane." He smiled back. "You are such a comfort to me."
He turned towards us and the smile brightened- became ecstatic.
"And Alice and Bella, too!" He rejoiced, clapping his hands together. "This is a happy surprise! Wonderful!"
He then turned to me.
"Ah, Kira!" He said, clapping his hands together again. "How have you been? Have you missed them?" He asked.
"Hello Aro, I have been alright. I have missed them and I'm happy to see them again." I replied politely. He must have read the twins thoughts and saw me.
He grabbed my hand and tried to look. I put down my shield so I wouldn't anger him. A few seconds later, he let go. All he did was smile. He turned his attention to Felix and asked him to get his brothers. I saw from the corner of my eye that Jane was smiling slightly at me. I smiled back.
"You see, Edward? What did I tell you? Aren't you glad I didn't give you what you wanted yesterday?" He asked, also scolding him.
"Yes, Aro, I am," he agreed.
"I love a happy ending?" Aro sighed. "They are so rare. But I want the whole story. How did this happen? Alice?" He asked, turning to Alice with curious eyes. "Your brother seemed to think you infallible, but apparently there was some mistake."
"Oh, I am far from infallible," Alice told him. "As you can see today, I cause problems as I often cure them."
"You're too modest," Aro chided. "I've seen some of your more amazing exploits, and I must admit I've never observed anything like your talent. Wonderful!"
Alice flickered a glance at Edward. Aro did not miss it.
"I'm sorry, we haven't been introduced properly at all, have we? It's just that I feel like I know you already, and I tend to get ahead of myself. Your brother introduced us yesterday, in a peculiar way. You see, I share some of your brother's talent, only I am limited in a way that he is not." Aro shook his head; his tone was envious.
"And also exponentially more powerful," Edward added dryly. He looked at Alice and me as he swiftly explained. "Aro needs physical contact to hear your thoughts, but he hears much more than I do. You know I can only hear what's passing through your head at the moment. Except you Kira, if your shield is up I can't hear your thoughts. But when it's down, I can. Aro hears every thought your mind has ever had. He can hear everything if your shield is down Kira."
"I know Edward. I have been alive for 1,200 years. Of course, I know about Aro and the Volturi." I told him.
"But to be able to hear from a distance ..." Aro sighed. "That would be so convenient."
Aro looked over our shoulders. All our heads turned in the same direction, including Jane, Alec and Demetri, Bella was the slowest to turn. Felix was back, and behind him floated two more black-robed men. Clearly Marcus and Caius. Marcus having brown-black hair and Caius having the platinum-blonde hair.
Caius went to sit down on the right throne, the left of Aro's, whereas Marcus paused beside aro. He reached his hand out, and Marcus touched Aro's palm briefly then dropped it to his side.
