Chapter 12

Today is Isabella's birthday. She is now 18. But she has been complaining about it and the fact that she is older than Edward when he was turned but I couldn't care less. When I was human, I didn't care if I was going to grow up or not. Neither did Jane or Alec. We just wanted a nice life. Something we never got.

I was getting changed for her party when I noticed my necklace that I got from Jane and Alec fell off. The chain broke. I picked it up and set it down gently. I was going to get a new chain for it later.

I went downstairs and Rose noticed I didn't have my necklace and questioned me about it.

"Where is your necklace?"

"The chain broke. I'm going to sort it out soon,"

She nodded when I shown her the broken chain and walked off. I went to my room and got a chain off my other necklace and put the rose quartz on it. I hadn't noticed Isabella had came down and sat next to me.

"Nice necklace," she complimented it.

"Thanks, my best friends got it for me," I told her

"They sound like great friends," she said

"They were. I wish they were still here," I replied.

We sat there in an awkward silence for a few seconds until I decided to give her the jacket I got her. I knew she would like it.

"Thank you. It's amazing." She thanked me.

"I don't hate you. I hate humans. If you are a vampire, I might tolerate you a little more. But if my family get in any more danger to save you, I will kill you myself. Happy Birthday Bella,"

She gulped and walked off. I put a shield up around myself to stop Edward from reading my thoughts and I thought back to when I was human.

*flashback*

"Kira,"Jane started.

"Yes, Jane?" I replied

"I know we don't have the best life, but please, don't leave me and Alec. Some people pretended to be our friends when we were younger then left and we haven't trusted people since then. You are the only person we trust and we don't want you to go," Jane confessed.

The girls were both crying and Kira hugged Jane.

"I swear Jane, I will never leave you or Alec. You are the best thing I have in my life and I wouldn't leave. Never. I will stay with you both forever and always,"

"Forever and always," Jane repeated.

*end of flashback*

I focused back to reality and I smelt blood. It was Bella. She cut herself while trying to open a present. How clumsy is the girl.

I noticed Jasper went to attack Bella but Emmett and Carlisle held him back. Alice took him outside and apologised to Bella. Everyone else had to leave except from me, Edward and Carlisle.

Edward finally left and Carlisle carried on cleaning Bella's wound.

"How are you not tempted to kill me Kira?" Bella asked me. 

"I drink human blood and I fed today, i can survive with no blood for a week," I answered her question.

She hummed and nodded her head.

I got changed into sweatpants and a hoodie an hour ago and currently I'm reading. Suddenly, Edward opened the door with a huge slam. 

"Everyone pack," he said.

"What!" I exclaimed.

"It's been a while, everyone is noticing we barely age and we look amazing, and Bella needs to be safe, away from me," Edward answered me.

I stormed to my room and packed quickly. My room was now empty. I ran to the garage and put it into Jasper and Alice's car. I was going to go with them. I ran upstairs and went to the family room.

"Bags are packed in Jasper and Alice's car. I'm going with you two. " I announced.

They nodded. I went downstairs and got into the back of the car. I put my earphones in and listened to music.

Soon enough, we were driving and on our way to Paris.

I'm going to skip the few months and go to when Alice goes back to forks. Kira is going with her.
