"Y/N!" A loud voice came from the bottom of the staircase, echoing through the halls. Silence stood for a while, before footsteps were heard leading up the stairs, stopping right in front of the door.

"Y/N, open the door!" With another wave of silence overhanging the house, the young cavalry captain let himself in, finding the smaller traveler still asleep, at 1 o'clock in the afternoon. A heavy sigh left the lips of the captain, before grabbing the edge of the blankets and tearing them off the body of his adventure friend.

Your eyes flung open at the impact, finding yourself with your body on the ground and the blue man hanging over you. "Look who's finally awake~" A loud groan escaped your lips as you pushed yourself off the floors, into a sitting position.

"And look who doesn't have a sense of privacy" You muttered, angrily rubbing your eyes to get used to the bright sunlight casting in through the windows of the City of Freedom.

"Oh come on, its a great day outside and you're here still sleeping!" He was right, after the battle with Dvalin, the sky seemed brighter, the smiles illuminated the faces of monstadt's people with young kids spending days out and the adults sitting by the fireplace, drinking dandelion wine. Such days were comforting, a calm sense of peace radiates throughout the city, with each tavern filled to the brim with celebrations in the name of the Honorary Knight. Years after years of terror residing in everyones minds, Aether, the honorary knight, was an archon given gift. He wasn't one who wanted to gain power for his own selfishness, instead he preferred being with the ones he loved, and to find his sister, who was lost in his first battle. While all these thoughts ran through your mind, Kaeya watched your face, noticing how your e/c eyes stared at the blinding white of the wall, waving his hands infront of your eyes as a means to catch your attention.

"Did sleeping make you dazed?" A low chuckle left Kaeya's lips, his large hand ruffling your h/c hair, as he walks back to the door, a hand on the knob. "Get up, we're going out sweetheart~"

You waved your hand lazily, waving him off as a light blush dusted your cheeks. That damned captain.. Thinking he can just come in and disturb my slee- Before you could finish your thought, a shout came from the living room,

"HURRY UP Y/N!"

"I THOUGHT YOU LEFT!"

Stepping out of the smaller cottage, a sigh left my lips, the cool wind of the evening was a breath of fresh air. The cities were crowded, stalls near the market area were decorated with fairy lights and balloons, extraordinary colors ranging from green to honor our anemo archon, Barbatos, yellow for monstadt's infamous dandelion flower and palettes of blue, pink and purple embellished the City of Freedom. Couples and friends were walking hand in hand into taverns, wearing matching kimono's, eyes lit up with gleam. I felt a soft smile make its way to my face, it felt nice to see the fear being lifted from everyones hearts. This relaxation didn't last for long, or well not until a certain tall man came up and slung his arm over my shoulder.
