I rushed through the hospital doors and headed to the receptionist. When I asked to see Demetrius I didn't encounter any challenges because apparently I was Demetrius's wife in their books. That left me a bit surprised but I managed to smile through the surprise as I was lead towards Demetrius's room. I could feel myself lightly shaking in both fear and anticipation.

Fear that he had something like amnesia and couldn't remember me or something of that sorts and anticipation of just seeing him and making sure that he was indeed still alive and getting better.

I quietly thanked the nurse as I made my way into the room. Demetrius looked so frail laying in the hospital bed with tubes all around him. His skin was pale and he had lost weight, he just looked sick. This was the first time that I've ever seen Demetrius or should I say Demetrius's actual physical body and you could see the difference between his ghost and body. The sight of him broke my heart as I made my way towards the chair besides his bed.

"Hey, Baby." I whispered loud enough for him to hear if he can but quiet enough that my voice would sound more muffled for anyone else. Tears clogged my throat as I tried to speak without breaking down completely. "It's Emilia." I continued gripping his hand in mine. "I've really missed you, spending even a couple of hours without you is difficult. I love you so much Demetrius and I'm sorry that I didn't say it enough during our time together." I said as tears trailed down my cheeks.

"I promise to tell you that I love you more than I did before, just please come back to me Demetrius." I cried laying my head on his bed as I gripped onto his robes. I felt a hand being gently placed on my head making me jump back in surprise. I looked up and when I did my eyes met with Demetrius's. I quickly pressed the button that would alert the nurses to come so that they could check up on him as I stood there with his hand in my hand. I was eventually ushered out by the nurses so that they could do their checks on Demetrius.

After about 45 minutes of sitting on the uncomfortable chairs of the waiting area I was called back inside the room. Before entering the room I asked the nurse to kindly inform Demetrius's parents about his status.

"Hey." I quietly said to Demetrius with a smile as I sat down on the chair next to his bed when I noticed that he was still awake.

"Hel-" he tried croaking out but got interrupted by the cough that took over his body. I quickly reached over for the jug of water on his side table and poured some of it into a cup. I helped him sit up a little and then gently pressed the cup against his lips to help him drink more easily. I placed the cup back to its original place when he moved his head signalling that he was now better.

"Hello My Love." He managed to croak out as he lightly brushed his thumb over my knuckles. "I've missed you too Baby." He said looking directly into my eyes with his own tired looking ones. "I feel tired right now, will you still be here when I wake up?" He asked as he struggled to keep his half opened eyes open.

"I'm not going anywhere." I responded placing a kiss on his open palm. I watched him smile a weak smile before he fully closed his eyes and let himself pass out on the hospital bed.

30 minutes after Demetrius fell asleep, I heard a light knocking on the door before Demetrius's mother made her way into the room. I quickly stood up to give her a place to sit, only for Lauren to pull me into a hug.

"Hello, Sweetheart. How are you?" She asked pulling away from the hug with glossy eyes filled with tears.

"I'm okay thank you, and how are you?" I asked trying my best to smile.

"I've been better. The hospital called to let me know that Demetrius had woken up, is it true?" She asked with hopeful eyes.

"Yes, it's true, he fell asleep about 30 minutes ago." I said looking at Demetrius as he soundlessly slept. I couldn't help but to keep redirecting my eyes to the heart monitor after a certain period of time to check whether Demetrius was still okay.

"He'll be fine. He's a strong boy." Lauren said after catching me looking at the monitor for the 4th time since she had arrived.

I just smiled in acknowledgment. "Where's Daniel?" I asked realising that Lauren had gotten here alone and still about 15 minutes later Daniel hadn't arrived.

"He's flying in from a business trip, he should be here in more or less 5 hours." Lauren explained.

Daniel ended up coming to the hospital, he also gave me a hug when he saw me before he headed over to look at his son. After visiting hours I volunteered to stay with Demetrius for the night and both Lauren and Daniel were okay with it. I could see that they looked exhausted and needed a little bit of rest.

As I sat on the chair reading a magazine I heard Demetrius ask me. "What's that?" I placed the magazine on his table before I focused my whole attention on Demetrius.

"It's a magazine, I was using it to pass time." I explained moving closer to Demetrius's bed.

"Your parents were here, but you were sleeping throughout their visit. They asked me to tell you that they would see you tomorrow." I said relaying the message.

Demetrius just hummed in response.

"You know you haven't given me a kiss since I woke up." Demetrius said with a small pout.

"Would it be too late to kiss you now?" I asked leaning over to Demetrius's face and lips.

"It's never too late to do something, Baby." Demetrius said moving the oxygen mask aside and puckering his lips.

I just giggled at his determination but decided on giving him what he wanted. Fireworks seemed to go off the moment our lips touched. I have to admit kissing him now felt even better than when I used to kiss his ghost self. I felt Demetrius grab my waist and lightly pulled me to onto him making me gasp in surprise.

"Demetrius you shouldn't be pulling anything or anyone right now." I said trying to move myself off of him, only to be pulled right back down.

"Okay, lay down right next to me then." Demetrius said with a smirk as if challenging me to disobey.

"I don't think that's a good idea." I said worried about the cast on his arm.

"Why not?" He asked putting his head between my shoulder blade and lightly nibbling on the skin there.

"Well because you're injured and in a hospital." I said slightly out of breath.

"But I'm feeling fine and I want you to sleep next to me. I can tell that you've been crying a lot and that can be exhausting." Demetrius said scooting over and pulling his covers to let me in and displaying his puppy dog eyes which I still wasn't able to say no to.

"You're manipulative." I said sliding into the covers and blanket and laying next to Demetrius.

"So are you gorgeous, now give your man some love." He said leaning down. I giggled but met him halfway, making our lips collide, Demetrius lightly nibbled and sucked my lower lip before he pulled away.

"Now let's sleep, I'm tired." Demetrius said laying my head on his chest, intertwining our legs and throwing an arm around my waist.

Falling asleep was easy and it was peaceful. I woke up to sounds of awe from someone. I opened my eyes and spotted Lauren and Daniel.

"You two are adorable together, now tell me are you finally girlfriend and boyfriend?" Lauren asked.

"Well." I said looking at Demetrius who nodded for me to carry on. I retold the whole truthful story and by the end of it I took a deep breath.

"You two sure did have an adventure, I'm just happy that you found each other when you did." Lauren said smiling at us. "I think I've read a similar story to yours except it was the woman who was in the coma and she had a similar story. She says that she knew that the guy was her soulmate due to the connection that they immediately had, I guess that this is a thing for soulmates, only your soulmate is able to see you due to the souls' connection to each other." Lauren explained leaving both Demetrius flabbergasted but it all didn't matter because in the end I had my soulmate and he was on a good road to recovery.
