Mattia POV:

It'd been a couple hours, Bella and I hadn't talked at all; only indirectly whilst in conversation with the others. I could tell she was trying extremely hard to avoid eye contact with me, I also couldn't help but be annoyed about how much extra attention she was giving Robert. He was laying with his head on her lap while she fixed his eyebrows, every few minutes he'd whisper something and they'd both erupt with laughter.

'Bella, guess who just texted me that they can't wait to see you at the party,' Madison screamed basically jumping on top of Robert to show her the phone.

'Ryan? No wonder he's been commenting on my posts so much lately,' Bella said taking the phone looking at it closely. I decided I'd had enough and got up to go get some water from the kitchen and calm myself down.

Once I reached the kitchen, I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge and leaned against the kitchen island. I turned around hearing footsteps coming towards me.

'What's up with you?' Lauren asked curiously grabbing a water bottle for herself. She hopped up on the counter opposite me and started drinking.

I shrugged, 'Just didn't wanna listen to her talking about other boys I guess.'

'Oh please,' she snorted 'After that shit you pulled today you're talking about her with other boys?' I knew that was coming, I let out a deep breath ready to finally explain myself.

'I haven't talked to Vic since we broke up I promise, that's what I was trying to tell her before she ran off,' I started. 'I promised to remain good friends with her and that's all we are. Friends. I didn't think she'd act like that when she saw me, especially because I was with Bella.' I looked down afraid that I sounded stupid, I sounded like a liar, but I wasn't. I had shut Vic out after that day at Kairi's because I knew that I was serious about being with Bella.

'Do you actually like her?' Lauren whispered, as if she was scared of the honest answer.

I looked up to meet her gaze, 'Yeah... I'm afraid that I like her too much,' I chuckled.

She nodded, 'Well, if you're serious about her, then you should tell her. Just be honest so that there's no room for her to overthink like she did today.'

I took in her advice finally understanding what could fix this. But I still couldn't shake the thought that she wasn't interested anymore after today.

'Does she,' I cleared my throat. 'Does she still want to be with me?'

'Are you kidding,' Lauren said laughing a little, 'She hasn't stopped thinking about you since Sunday'. I blushed a little at the fact that she felt the exact same way about me that I felt about her.

'Thanks, I think I'm gonna go talk to her.' I said now determined to set the record straight. I decided to text her so that we could meet privately.

Bella POV:

Mattia: Meet me in the downstairs guest room?

I let out a shaky breath before letting my friends know that I'd be back soon. I wasn't even sure if I should be speaking to him after what happened today, but I couldn't be mad at him forever we were in the same friend group after all. I wasn't the type of girl to get involved with a boy if it wasn't exclusive and I'd make sure he knew that. I really liked him but if the feelings weren't mutual then I'd have to end whatever was going on between us. I finally reached the door to the guest room before taking a breath and walking in.

He stood there looking tired and slightly annoyed, when he heard the door open he took a deep breath before finally speaking.

'Bella I only want to be with you. ' I furrowed my eyebrows not expecting that, but let him continue talking.
