Chapter 3

I headed back to my room and fell to sleep.

The next day I walked to school listening to my music on the way. I saw a few guys who I haven't seen before. Hmm, they must either be new students, or they just aren't around the popular places. I shook my head as I was about to head into the school with my head down, looking at the plain ground. "Hey" I heard behind me as I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Yes?" I answered as I turned around and lifted my head. "Sorry to disturb you but you looked a little down. Are you okay? Oh, by the was my name is Hongjoong." The guy in front of me said in a soft tone, looking down at me worriedly. His eyes showing concern. "Uhm, yeah I'm fine. Can you please leave me alone now?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow, wanting to leave and be alone. "Sorry... I just wanted to be friends..." Hongjoong replied looking down. "Fine. But if you do or say anything inappropriate don't you dare come near me again" I told him in a serious tone. "Thanks... The guys behind me are, San, Yeosang and Mingi." Hongjoong said as he introduced his friends. "Hi" "Hey" "Yo" The three guys spoke as they held out their hands. "Hey... I'm Mia. Sorry, I'm quite shy and don't really like having many friends. I said as I bit my lip and looked down. I felt someone's hand softly place his hand on my chin and lifted my head. "Hey, hey. It's okay. When you feel down, we will all help, and we will be here for you. You can trust us. I promise" San who took my chin softly smiled and pulled me into a hug. I smiled slightly, slowly hugging him back. "Thank you, guys. I hope I can trust you. You all seem like nice guys" I said breaking the hug. We all walked into the school and I noticed that they were all in my classes.

"c'mon, Mia. Let's go have some lunch" Mingi said as he stood up and grabbing my wrist, pulling me up. "Okay, okay. I'm coming" As we were all walking down the stairs, I saw my old friends walking up to us. "Yo, loser. Ya got some new 'friends', huh? Well they won't stay for long. No one likes you, hope you know that. Oh, also. Don't bother thinking that we were ever friends with you. We would never be friends with such a slut, loser, and a fat pig like you. See ya bitch" Rose and Taemin scoffed as they threw their food at me. I ran away into the nearest bathroom and ran into a stall. The next minute I hear some knocking on the bathroom door. "Hey Mia? Are you okay? Please come out. We will protect you at all costs. Don't worry about them we won't let them hurt you" I heard Yeosang, Hongjoong, Mingi and San saying. They were trying to comfort me. I slowly opened the stall and opened the door. They all burst in and gave me a huge hug. Once they broke the hug, they handed me some new clothes.

School ended and the guys walked me home, making sure I was safe. I thanked them as I walked inside. Before I could close the door Hongjoong asked for my number, I gave them mine and they bid me goodbye. I walked to my room and smiled as I got my clothes for a shower. I Jumped onto my bed and sighed. I heard a ding from my phone, I picked it up and saw that Hongjoong texted me. It read: Hey Mia, I hope you are okay. We will pick you up from your house in the morning. We are always here when you need. We will protect you. I smiled from the message and texted back: Okay thank you again. I threw my phone on my bed as I fell asleep.

Knock, Knock. "Mia, open the door!!" I woke up after hearing someone scream at the front door. I looked at the time and saw it was 6:30 am. Ugh seriously why this early. "Coming!" I shouted back as I threw my sheets off and ran to the closet. After getting changed I rushed downstairs and unlocked the door and opened it. "Finally, what took you so long? We were waiting like 10 minutes" Yeosang commented on my time. "I uhm, I..." I stuttered as I didn't know what to say. "We woke you, up didn't we?" Mingi smirked and laughed. I dropped my head in embarrassment. "Hahaha! Wow, you really aren't a morning person. Well aren't you lucky you have 4 new friends who will wake you up every morning!" San replied as he pinched my cheeks, making them redder and hotter. "Oww that hurts" I groaned getting out of his grip. "Now go get changed again, you are showing way too much skin." Hongjoong scolded me, pointing at my skirt and my long-sleeved crop top. "But..." I tried to reason with him. "No but's. Get changed." Yeosang said in a demanding tone, pushing me back inside. I rolled my eyes as I got changed into a different outfit. "That's better. Now you won't attract any attention" Mingi nodded in approval as San grabbed my wrist pulling me out. "But I haven't had breakfast yet... "I protested but instead Hongjoong grabbed my bag from the front door and shut the door. "We are eating out today" Yeosang replied as they caught up to us. Hongjoong secretly grabbed my key while we were eating and left to make a copy. "Just in case you didn't get our message last night, we will be taking you to and from school. We also have just moved next door to your apartment so we can keep an eye on you." Mingi informed me as we ate. I looked at him in shock, thinking what he did he mean by 'Keeping an eye on you'? As Hongjoong came back as we were ready to head to school. "What took you so long?" I asked as I walked out with the others. "Oh, nothing. I just went to the bathroom." Hongjoong replied as he grabbed my wrist pulling me along with him as he was running.
