KING JAI'S POV

...."You may be a princess but you have no right to talk to me like that and you will marry me whether you want it or not. And don't dare you try me. Your kingdom is at stake here and as a ruler you must surrender which is best for your kingdom's peace. This is the least you can do and as a warrior you must accept your defeat."

I know my words sounded rude but I wanted to test if she is capable enough to stand for herself, and I think I made the right choice of coming here to marry her.

"I will marry you because I know if don't marry you it won't turn good for my kingdom, and I won't sit back to watch my kingdom being led to havoc when I could have done something. since it doesn't matter who I have to marry, someone else or be it you because I don't have any choice rather than sacrificing myself."
She said in cold voice. I could feel she was sad but I couldn't do anything and sincerely feel sorry for her.

"Good" I said calmly.

"But I want to know why would you want to marry me?" She asked with a exasperated sigh.

"Because you will prove to be perfect queen for my kingdom because you are strong and intelligent woman. And You will be the Independent decision-maker in our kingdom for the betterment and empowerment of women and children. You can also employ more women and train them. You will be my better half by all means, decisions for the kingdom will be taken by us together. You will be my queen."

"OK. "She said. I couldn't identify any emotion on her face like she was still processing all what's going on.

"We will be marrying day after tomorrow, so be prepared." I said with quite determination.

"Why so soon.... I mean we will marry but it just I need time to prepare myself for this sacrifice." she added snarkily.
Like for real here all the other princesses wait to even have glimpse of me and she is just insulting me rather than enjoying my presence.

"Oh...but I am sorry but I can't risk to wait what if you runaway, my queen?" I said just to agitate her.

She cringed her nose upon hearing this.

"Are you afraid of me, your majesty?" She mocked, which made me laugh.

"Do you really think that it will change our date of marriage?" I said amused with the beauty in front of me.

"Maybe" she said quickly.

"I love this attitude of yours, one of the reasons for marrying you. You don't let people affect you." I admitted truthfully.

"This is just the beginning because you don't know how much of trouble you will face after the wedding." She said cunningly like she was already planning the future.

"I am looking forward to it."

With that being said I left her chamber I must say she is different from the princesses I met in past. And I am liking it.

I wished she married with her own choice I didn't want to force her but I don't have a choice. With the expansion of my kingdom it is growing vulnerable without any heirs and the queen. I can't risk my kingdom's future because of my ignorance. I am sorry mother I couldn't respect your words but I am doing this just for the benefit of our kingdom. And I know it will haunt me for my whole life that I ruined a life because of my selfishness but I am bound by my duties as a king.
