Zeroverse: Hateful Greed

Retribution

Swan alter basked in the light of the moon as she stood on her horse while she was still riding it. This was her first battle in her new form, and she was more than excited to prove her superiority over her pathetic father. Swan prepared herself as she got ready to launch herself off her horse, Excalibur Morgan held tightly in her hand.

This was a fight that she wasn't going to lose. These pathetic villagers will pay for their insubordination. She jumped up 50 metres from her horse, as she angled herself so that she could prepare for a devastating attack on the village.

Swan raised Excalibur Morgan in the air as she charged it up. She pointed it at the ground that she was about to land on. She landed onto the ground, plunging Excalibur Morgan into the dirt, as the entire village was levelled from this attack. At least that's what she assumed. All civilians in the village were now dead, and all of the houses were on fire.

Regulus helped Swan up, as she regained her composure. He smiled at her as he was actually impressed by her fighting skills. "I must say..that was impressive." Regulus commented, as Swan smiled back at him. "I was just following orders. And I was also proving a point." Swan commented, as she smirked at the other archbishop.

"What are you trying to prove?" Regulus asked, as the two got on their horses. "I'm trying to prove to everybody that I'm stronger than my father, who claims that he is an unstoppable warrior. I know the truth. He's died multiple times, so he is a pathetic liar in my opinion." Swan replied, as she returned to the garden of Greed, where Echidna congratulated her.

"I honestly didn't expect such a fantastic display of strength. I'm impressed!~" Echidna commented, as she drank from her cup of tea. "You act like I'm disposable. I could have easily denied your offer before." Swan said, glaring at Echidna. "But you didn't. I made you into something far greater than any of your past forms. Oh by the way I forgot to say. I gave you return by death." Echidna said, as Swan sighed, understanding what that burden was almost immediately.

"My Return By Death blessing isn't as potent as the witch of Obsession's blessing, or Satella's blessing, but it will bring you back after death, just like with Jackson." Echidna revealed, as Swan breathed a sigh of relief.

"What's my next mission?" Swan asked. This made the witch of Greed laugh. She never had an archbishop that was so eager to fight, unlike the other witches. Ley Batenkaitos was one of the most eager to fight archbishops that ever lived, but he was not the archbishop of Greed.

"There aren't any missions right now, but I'm relocating you to my temple that's a few miles away from the village that you destroyed. This is the place where my archbishops and my loyalists usually live when they aren't fighting." Echidna instructed, as alter nodded her head, walking through the portal to the temple of Greed.

Meanwhile...

Two cloaked individuals walked towards the remnants of the village that Swan alter had destroyed, as they both looked at each other. "What are we supposed to tell Roswaal?" One individual said to the other. "Just tell him that I'll handle this. I'll be fine on my own, Ram." The other cloaked girl said, as Ram left her sister to prepare for a big fight.

Ram returned to Roswaal just like she was instructed, and he obviously asked where Rem was. "My sister is about to fight the people responsible for the destruction of the village. She told me to return to you. She believes in her abilities." Ram said, as she sat down next to Roswaal.

"Let's just hope that she survives this encounter." Roswaal replied, as they waited for Rem to return.

Rem stood on top of a pile of rubble, as she saw a woman jumping in the air from a horse. This amused Rem, as this woman was using the exact same tactic that she used to destroy the village previously.

Rem managed to knock alter into a building after she landed a well placed swing to the knee using her flail. The battle to avenge these innocent civilians was about to begin.
