"DID THIS BITCH really just hit me?"
I thought to myself for a moment, taken aback.

I came back to my senses and lifted
my hand and hit her back and that's when the fight started.

I immediately pushed her down to get on top and hit her again. She then rolled over so that she was on top of me and tried to pin me down, the fight going on like that for a while until someone pulled me off of her.

"What the fuck are you doing?" I yelled trying to get out of their grasp "she hit me first. Let go!"

They wouldn't let go so I turned around, to see that it was Mark. I gave him a blank look and rolled my eyes, "let go of me. She hit me first" I said, struggling to get out of his grasp.

"calm down first" he said.

I rolled my eyes again and kissed my teeth as I finally got out of his grasp, picked up my stuff and left the bathroom. "I'm not in the mood for this right now" I thought to
myself as I heard Mark calling after me, I ignoring him as I walked out of the restaurant, ready to go home.

I was stopped by someone grabbing my wrist. "Nayoung, wait"
It was Mark.

"what?"

"what just happened in there?"

I have him a blank stare "me and Dani were about to leave the bathroom when some girl came in asking if I knew you or something. I said yes and then she slapped me." I said, obviously annoyed.

He sighed, "you didn't have to attack her though..." he trailed off and I looked at him incredulously.

"wait, what? What the fuck do you mean I didn't have to attack her?" I asked, getting angry again. "she slapped me, so what's your problem? Did you expect me to just
stand there and let her hit me?" I said, removing my wrist from his grasp.

"no I didn't say that, it's just that she's hurt, it could've been worse"

"huh??" I looked at him, confused, gesturing to the scratches on my face, messy hair and bruises forming all over my body. "Like I said, she attacked me, so I don't know why you're taking her side" I said, genuinely hurt and confused about what he was saying. "I can't believe you right now, Mark. Who is she anyways?" I asked, tears streaming out of my eyes at his words.

"my ex"

I threw my head back, rolled my eyes and scoffed "wow. I should've fucking known."

He looked at me like he'd just seen a ghost "known what" he asked, visibly annoyed.

I waved him off "I should've known that you weren't the guy I cut you out to be. Some random girl, who I now know is your ex, just attacked me in a bathroom and you're taking her side? You obviously still have feelings for her don't you?" I asked, hurt because I actually liked him.

He ran his hand over his head and sighed, not saying anything. I turned to the side to see Dani rushing out of the restaurant, straight to me. "oh my god, are you okay?" she asked, running her fingers softly over my injuries and then pulling me into a hug and giving Mark the stink eye when she realized I was crying, wiping my tears with her fingers.

"yeah. I'm good, I just wanna go home." I said.

"you have cuts on your face, and— oh my god! You're bruising, Nayoung!" she said, her eyes widening as she scanned my body for the aftereffects of the fight. She looked like she was going to cry, looking at how hurt I was.

She turned to Mark and was about to give him shit about his ex but I put my hand on her shoulder and stopped her, "it's okay, it's not worth it." I said to her.
