the wild canids are hated by the dogs for their "savage" nature. they have a system of challenging to decide the high ranks. the wolves are lesser in number than the dogs, but they are also much stronger and bigger on average.
while there are hundreds of dog breeds, there are only so many types of wild canines. the pack is made up of grey wolves, arctic wolves, red wolves, african wolves, ethiopian wolves, and coyotes.

the alpha is the leader of the pack. they choose a beta and delta, and when they pass, the high ranks fight it out until only one is left still fighting, and then that wolf becomes the alpha.

the beta is the best hunter in the pack, chosen by the alpha. they are in charge of making sure everyone is fed by sending out hunting patrols on the daily.

somewhat like a general. chooses knights to create a force that watches over camp around the clock in 6-hour shifts between the four of them. the delta is typically the second best fighter in the pack.

the knights are three excellent fighters chosen by the delta from the members. their job is to watch over camp with the delta in shifts. they are also typically the first sent into battle due to their hardiness.

the members of the pack. spend most of their days hunting. pregnant, injured, and retired wolves are also put here
