CHAPTER ONE

I've been living in France for almost 13 years and been doing home study, which means that I never experience going to an actual school. My parents told me that it would be safer for me to stay home in order to hide and control my magic. I'm a pure blooded Veela and inherit the standard abilities from my parents, it's not nice to see me when I'm getting mad or pissed off. I understand completely the decision of my parents in keeping me inside the mansion for almost many years, since they wanted to protect me from the bad ones and that it's rare to see a full blooded Veela. It's been many years that full blooded Veela's are getting fewer and fewer as years passing by the time that some Veela's are marrying non-magical people. Both of my parents are Koreans but they're full blooded Veela's and one of the last survivors from the war happened in Daegu between death eaters and wizards.

My name is Tiffany Wong and this is my story. I was only able to see the sight of our maze garden and the front yard of the mansion, my brother Magnus Wong; would always walk through the gardens and sit near at the tree while reading a book who's a year older than me. Since we're only staying in the mansion, we've been home schooled ever since we were young and been fascinated with the history of magic. Magnus would always invite me to practice our magic whenever we have free time, my older brother is best sibling ever who would be there if I needed someone to talk or discuss something important. Our parents are working at the ministry of magic and tend to come home late when they have more paper works to do.

Mother and father are still having second thoughts on sending us at Hogwarts, school for witches and wizards. We're hoping that they would allow us to go to an actual school and meet new people, we know many things of the wizarding school because of mother and father. Ever since the war happened long time ago, they moved to France and start a new life; mother and father made a jewelry business that became successful within the several years of their hard-work. We're glad the our parents were able to escape from the tragic war that happened in Korea which made them uncomfortable whenever they're hearing the word 'War'.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard Magnus knocked on my door. "Tiffany! Mom and dad said that they need to discuss something with us at the living room"

I stopped brushing my black long wavy hair and respond. "Tell them I'm coming now"

The footsteps of my brother faded from the outside of my door and placed my vintage brush on the table. I glanced at my  pale skin complexion in front of the mirror and put strand of hair behind my ear. I sighed and stand from my sit while heading towards the door, wanting to know what would our parents wants to tell us. Some of the house elves walking at the hallway while carrying some cloths and fabrics into their hands, changing the bedsheets week to week. Every time I'll offer them a help, they would insist that I don't need to since it's part of their job. I'm really about the discussion that we'll have with mom and dad, fixing my white turtle neck and high waisted gray skirt, since I'm into Korean fashion and culture.

I entered the living room seeing both of my parents sitting across the opposite side of where Magnus is sitting patiently while arms crossed over his chest. I sat beside my brother and looked at my parents with pleasant expression which made me tilted my head to the side in confusion. Mother nudge lightly at father who cleared his throat and patted his knee gently.

"Your mother and I decided that it would be better if the two of you attend Hogwarts and start your education there" Father nodded and continued. "Headmaster Dumbledore convince us that it would help you two be independent to stay and study at boarding school"

"That's fantastic father! I can't wait to go school and have friends" Magnus clapped his hands in excitement while grinning widely.

"I'm doing this because I want you two to experience handling things on your own and enjoy your high school life before graduating like what me and your mom in the old times" Father smiled and said. "Please don't break our trust and use this opportunity to live like a young normal Veela and not take advantage of this chance"

Mother started talking. "My dear ones, we know that it's been a long time that you haven't visited the outside world and we want to give you two a chance by sending you guys in Hogwarts"

"I have no problem with that" Magnus shook his head and turned his attention to me. "What do you say yeodongsaeng?"

I nodded and said. "Yes, I wanted to go Hogwarts"

Father clasped his hands together and smiled. "That's great to hear! Now pack your things tonight for Hogwarts and we'll give your things needed for school later since Dumbledore delivered it here earlier"

"Gamsahabnida abeoji" Me and Magnus thanked our father in our language.
