In the story basically hinata is going to be eiji. In the story everything that happened to eiji has happened to eiji in his last year of middle school. (And ash is only a few months younger) when eiji came back to Japan his parents wanted a fresh start so eiji died his hair orange or red (what ever you think hinata hair look like) and they changed there name so that his past in America wouldn't come back to haunt him. He changed his name to hinata shoyo. He didn't want to to pole jumping (is that what it called) so he decided to play volleyball because he still Rembers the tiny giant from tv. And his team mates don't know what has happened to him they all think he is a volleyball feak (not in a bad way) . So what happens when some one from his past decided to pay him a visit.
