this is a request from @audreyly18 I hope you like it, this is probably the longest one shot I have ever done and hardest to write because of the writers block but I eventually got there thank you for being so patient.

Since Kate had to retire due to the baby I said I would step in. I had known Jim for a long time as I had tutored Lucky back in the city. So here I was going to Miradaro to be the new teacher. Jim was picking me up from the station as I have never lived out in the country side before. The train came to a stop and I grabbed my luggage and stepped out. I looked around and saw Jim, I ran over and hugged him.

"Jim! How are you? It seems like forever since I saw you, how's Cora and Lucky?" I asked as we separated. He chuckled and ruffled my hair as though I was a kid.

"I'm fine thank you Y/N. Cora and Lucky are fine as well both are excited to see you especially Lucky." He said as we walked towards the horse. I didn't know how to ride one but Jim said he can teach me. I smiled as he helped me on the back before getting on himself. Then we were off towards Miradaro.

As we came into the small town people were glancing at me and whispering I've always been shy and so I buried my face into Jim's back. He laughed and patted my knee.

"It will be fine Y/N, all the attention will die down soon don't worry." He said as he glanced at me when he felt me lift my head. I nodded and went back to admiring the town. It was truly beautiful the city couldn't even compare to the beauty of the country side. We got to the barn where Lucky and two other girls were and the minute she heard her father Lucky turned around and watched Jim help me down.

"Y/N!!" Lucky squealed as she came and hugged me. I laughed and picked her up by her waist and spun her around. Jim was laughing at us and led the horse over to where two other men were standing and handed the horse over to one. Me and Lucky walked over.

"Y/N this is Al Granger." I smiled at him and he smiled back and stuck his hand out for me to shake. I took it and shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you Y/N. Jim has told me a lot about you." I glared slightly at Jim and he just laughed. A few other men came over to see who I was. Lucky still had her arms wrapped around my waist and she tightened her grip slightly to h=get my attention. I looked down at her and she let one of her arms go to point to the two girls.

"These are my two friends, Pru and Abigail" she said as she pointed to them as she said their names so I knew who was who. I smiled at the two girls and they smiled back. A few of the men started to introduce themselves and Jim came back over.

"And this is Harlan Grayson, although he just goes by Grayson." I offered him a small smile and he smiled slightly back. Lucky came running up to me with her usual smile.

"Are you going to be our new teacher Y/N?" I smiled and nodded, she squealed and hugged me. Then Jim spoke up.

"If you don't mind though Y/N could Lucky have her private lessons back as well she's still a bit behind." I giggled and looked at him.

"Of course Jim, anything for you" I heard my name being called and looked over to see Cora jogging slightly to get to me. It was a sight to see as you would never see Cora running or jogging but me and her used to be good friends before she had to leave. She hugged me and I hugged her back just as tight, glad to have my old friend back.

We pulled away and that's when I noticed a women standing slightly behind her with a baby in her arms. Jim went to stand next to the women and smiled at me.
