Chapter One
There i was.
Standing infront of our cafeteria.
Suddenly the students turn their body and look at me and start whispering to their seatmates.
I could see it in their faces. Sadness, Disgust, Disappointment, and even Anger.
They were judging me, it was obvious. i saw one guy stand up and throw something that seemed to be a sandwich and it hit me straight in the face.
People start to laugh at me. I could feel the lump in my throat as i tried breathing properly that turned quickly into pants, trying my best not to let those tears in my eyes fall down.
Just as i was about to ran away from the cafeteria, I felt someone grab my wrist and pull me out of the place i swear was close enough to be called hell.
"Are you Alright?" said the guy who saved me from hell. i didn't respond though, i was still in the state of being in shock of everything.
"come on, lets get you cleaned up" he said while pulling me to the nurse's office.
when we entered the school clinic the nurse quickly got up from her seat and asked me so many questions but i didnt answer any.
i just stood there waiting for the day to end.
"She got bullied, i think. some guy threw food at her." the guy said calmly as if it was nothing serious.
"come here honey, lets clean you up and you could have a rest here in my office if you want" the nurse said sweetly. i'm sure she was new here. it was my first time seeing her.
well it wasnt anything serious really. Just normal stuff that happens to teenagers dont you think? but no, i wasnt always the girl people picked on or bullied or just plain hated.
i was one of those girls who had lots of friends, had good grades and was everyones favorite. but that changed. everything changed just because of that one decision i made.
one day i was miss popular, the next day im the most hated. If only i could turn back the time and stopped myself. but of course that cant happen.
"sweetie, i think you can take the day off and go home, i'll give a letter. take some rest, okay?" the nurse said sweetly taking me out of my thoughts.
and so i did go home.
i took my jacket and boots off and collapsed in my queen sized bed and just tried to relax.
i havn't even introduced myself. well, im Jewel Stewart. Half filipino, my moms filipino. im 17 years old and a senior in this hell-like place, Westfield High. Im an only child and i live alone, my parents bought me a condo for me to stay, just to get ready for college.
Im also a person everyone used to love but now hated, only because of that incident. it was already 6 months since that happened and that guy i curse forever. he ruined my life. but oh well.. stuffs like that happen right? i just hope i could make it through the day tomorrow without anyone noticing me.
