You were having a really bad day your boss yelled at you for no reason, and you were heading to your shared house with your boyfriend, Hayes. Once you reached the house you slammed your car door shut at trudged up the stairs. You took your keys out and unlocked the door and when inside. When you got inside you heard giggling. You were confused as you went up the stairs and that confusion was resolved by what you saw... Hayes was cheating on you with a random girl. He then kissed her, and that is when a sob escaped your lips and his head snapped up from kissing the blonde-headed girl. You ran down the stairs and as you were about to open the door to leave Hayes grabbed you wrist and turned you around and said through tears "Y/N, I'm so sorry, I didn't know what I was doing. Please I love you and only you, she means nothing to me." "I thought you loved me. I guess I thought wrong, I'll be back for my stuff later." You cried. You ran out the door ignoring his numerous pleads for you to come back.
*2 Weeks later*
It was 2 weeks since Hayes cheated on you, you have been staying at Matt's house. All you would do is cry, because you missed him so much. You were currently sleeping when you were startled by yelling and things being thrown. So being the curious person you are, you opened the door just enough to see what was going on. Matt was yelling at Hayes and telling him "Dude, she doesn't want to see you! You broke her heart!" Then Hayes punched Matt, and that's when You ran down the stairs a pushed Hayes off of Matt. "Why would you do that?!" You asked Hayes. He just looked down as you helped Matt up and told him that he can leave and you can handle this. He just nodded and walked away. "How long has it been going on?" You asked Hayes folding your arms across your chest. He stayed silent. "How long has it been going on?" You said louder and harsher. "3 months." He said quietly. Your jaw dropped. "3 MONTHS! 3 MONTHS OF ME PUTTING EVERYTHING IN THIS RELATIONSHIP AND YOU THROWING IT ALL DOWN THE DRAIN?!" I yelled with hot tears rolling down my cheeks. "Ba- Y/N, listen she told me that if I didn't go out with her and at least act like I'm happy, she'll hurt you. I didn't want anyone to hurt you 'cause I love you too much too see you get hurt. When you walked out of the house crying I felt so guilty." He said choking up. "It's ok, you were just protecting me. I love you and thank you for protecting me now let's go home." You said as you hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much." He said smiling. Just then Mart walked in and said "It's ok Hayes, you were just mad." Hayes hugged him and thank him. Hayes and I said our goodbyes and went home.
